The Last of Us, Apple TV's Severance, White Lotus. In a slightly different genre from what was discussed, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop.
Always the next one.
Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson (not written by a woman). It's about a peasant girl who chooses to go out of her comfort zone and on an adventure to save the boy she loves.
Came here to say this. I read it recently and loved it, despite being a man in my 30s. As far as I know, only way to have a copy currently is to be in the kickstarter, but maybe you can get a copy 2nd hand
You can get it digital without backing the Kickstarter.

"Mistress,' Wyndle said. "Lift. Will you tell me why this bothers you so much? Everyone grows. Everyone changes."
"But I'm... I'm her little girl."
Part 1 Chapter 8
"As always, thinking of her father made her feel ill, and the pain started to constrict her chest. She raised her freehand to her head, suddenly overwhelmed by the weight of House Davar’s situation, her part in it, and the secret she now carried, hidden ten heartbeats away."
She thinks of it again in part 3 chapter 45
...."trying to get the Soulcaster out. It was the only thing she had resembling a weapon. No, that was stupid. She didn’t know how to use it. She was helpless.
Except … Storms! she thought, frantic. I can’t use that. I promised myself. She began the process anyway. Ten heartbeats, to bring forth the fruit of her sin, the proceeds of her most horrific act."
It's subtle, but there's only 1 thing that specifically takes 10 heartbeats to summon.
One thing I like about the chapter 8 quote is that the significance of 10 heartbeats isn't explained until a few chapters later.
