Man, I respect your opinion but hard disagree. The song is a painting but it sounds like you want it to be a cartoon. It's a song about the carol that the bells are metaphorically singing and how it feels when the sound fills the air, joyfully announcing the arrival of Christmas. It's a setting; not a story.
