You have literally zero taste. An actor’s vocation and responsibility is to interpret the text given. Thats what he did with the scripts he was given and the character. He made acting choices and he did an exquisite job at that with this character. The man was a great artist. I couldn’t care less about your fanboy opinion about a fictional character in a series of children’s books. I remember Harris’es performances. He did a really good job and Gambon simply outclassed his performances by a mile. Gambon was an exceedingly gifted actor though. He brought much more nuance, pathos and somehow charisma to a role clearly not designed to incorporate a charismatic performance. Yet still there he was, being charismatic. He brought the character to life in a very vivid way.

He was Dumbledor.
