This. It was the same with Kobe, I'm sure the same with Jordan, Reggie Miller, etc. Certain players aren't going to come out of the game because it's the predetermined substitution pattern. You can argue it can be to their and the team's detriment at times, but that mentality is a big reason why they became the elite amongst the elite.

I genuinely couldnāt believe it when I read an article about grades in Patterson, NJ recently. Basically passing kids who never show up to class just to be able to claim a high graduation rate and make them somebody elseās problem. Itās beyond absurd.
Tying federal funding to graduation rates was done something like 15 years ago. We teachers protested it then, hate it now and tried to warn that this exactly would happen. Lawmakers rarely, if ever, consult actual educators on these things. All the while increasing classroom sizes every year. To quote Nick Wright, it ain't great.
Yep, no child left behind. Pretty much made the teachers switch to teaching how to pass standardized tests so they could get funding for their school. Who would have thunk that's an idiotic idea
