Nuclear Security Helicopter scoping Boston Marathon Starting Line

replied to Dove-Linkhorn

I’ve never seen it before, but they ramp up security for the marathon like crazy since the bombing. There were some concerns of new threats this year, but I think they all got debunked.

Wheel well liners! Husky makes a good set.

Bedliner is a no brainer, keep some ratchet straps in the cab, and a smaller antenna

Found this today

Almost reminds me of a pantograph router (https://woodgears.ca/pantograph/) which transfers the shape of an existing object to a new piece of wood. Does it have any side to side movement? Very nice find though!

FordPass - Internet Controlled Vehicle Open-source SDK

zlg5161
replied to awittygamertag

I had it working for a little while, but I was actually locked out of my account with an unknown shortly after. Turns out, excessive API usage is against their terms of service and ford reserves the right to lock your account and require you call in to the support line to unlock it. Was not worth the time or effort.

What I did to make it work though, was host a python API that I could call from a Siri shortcut, that api then interacted with the ford api and returned data to Siri. Was more complicated than it needed to be, but I couldn’t keep trying to deal with api auth in shortcuts.

Do you change your own oil? If so, why or why not?

zlg5161

I change the oil on all the cars at my house, except my truck. Dealer offered a sweet deal on their full maintenance plan covering oil, filters, brakes, and more over 3 years which ended up being cheaper than buying the stuff myself, plus I get new wipers included every 6 months.
