Trying to quit smoking. BUT HOLY HELL IS IT NORMAL TO WANT TO SHOVE FOOD IN MY MOUTH ALL DAY!?!
Our first and most important rule is that we be kind, courteous, and supportive with each other. Even (and maybe especially) people that aren't being kind to us. If someone is breaking this rule, please don't reply, use the report button and we'll sort it out. Remember that you're here to actively inspire people toward success, yourself included.
Be mindful of your audience. There are new quitters in the sub nearly every day. There are people who have quit who are fighting thoughts of relapse. Romanticizing or going on about enjoyment of tobacco/nicotine/vaping, flavors, etc. and the like-- i.e., a crave triggering post or comment--is inappropriate. Posts or comments such as these, depending upon the length, context and severity, may be removed without notice to the poster for the health of this sub and the people in it.
These types of pictures can be potentially triggering to quitters, so please refrain from posting images of cigarettes, smoking, vaping, etc.
Do not solicit or provide medical advice. Any concerned parties should contact their doctor for medical concerns and/or advice.
Do not submit photos, videos, or memes that are not related to the quitting smoking.
No spamming including studies, surveys, or asking people to click links to your 100% super effective program to quit smoking. This is a support group for people trying to quit smoking, not a research class or advertising space.
Meetings will initially be held Mon to Fri at 10am EST (starting 9/18/2023) Mon-Fri, 5pm-6pm EST (starting 6/12/2023)
More meetings will be added in the future to support more time zones
