Just started at the best buy here in town a couple of days ago, yesterday I completed all of my e-learnings and asked when I was supposed to get my uniform. My shift leader (and a few trainers/co-workers) told me I wasn't going to get one until I got someone to sign up for a credit card?
Huh? That makes no sense and feels like some sort of weird ritual? Is this a company wide thing or are they fucking with me?
Edit: yeah it seems like some stores do this and some don't? Overall just one of the couple of odd things this company is doing to me at the moment but this seemed the weirdest. Thanks to everyone for the input!
Edit 2: To clarify, they are NOT fucking with me this is their policy. Very strange and will most likely not be staying very long
It's disconcerting the number of customers calling up and asking why they have been charged for Plus or Total. I know that some customers lie and that enrollment has to be acknowledged but something is very off. Are we really adding Memberships and not telling people or explaining it in a misleading way? If this is the case, it just seems incredibly dishonest...
