Oop is vindictive, trying to hurt someone because they hurt you is dumb. Go no contact, refuse to see them, or whatever else you need to do to insure your own health and peace of mind.

Trying to hurt them because they hurt you makes you no better. Also using the gaspiints specifically to screw them over is petty.

Pettiness is just a different form of abuse

I dont think there is any hands down worst job. Quite a few tie for the spot.

Personally my experience as a veterinary technician in an ER is depressing.

See animals come in that we can't help sucks but, the absolute worst is seeing animals come in that we can help but, the owners can't afford it financially.

Then when the owners are distressed and screaming at you because they blame you for the prices just makes it worst

How does a birdhouse trap actually work? Why are the birds legs hanging out of the house when I just put the seeds in? Are birds even real?

Easy the birds enter and build the nest. Then the clock work mechanism drops everything into the base of the bird house.

The little legs don't show up until the house is full so that's just a little flag built into the bird house to scare away any other birds from enter and releasing the rest.

The ten birds that are captured die from being stuck on top of each other for an hour, or a day in my case.

You don't always get ten nests because some birds are to slow to build it before the clockwork traps them.

That's my biggest reason for wanting a game mode like this. Wipe everything out when you die and start over.

Some people pointed out it would make it easier with the other stuff.

I think two servers where one is more traditional hardcore without any of the extra stuff but you still start over and one with all the extra stuff could be interesting.

I just hate the idea of possible dieing with 3 months of members left and having to make a new character

Putting it on other servers is in the title so, cheeseing max and deironing can't happen. You are the second person to mention that. Guess I didn't make that part clear enough.

Sure some people will die to reach max faster but, it would reflect that on your highscores. Someone on their 5th life would be a less impressive max account than someone still on the first.

Even when you max there are risks to dieing. Even at 5x the rate it would take you a couple weeks to get back to max level and get back to grinding. Not to mention you would have to farm to get all your gear back. Dieing on purpose wouldn't make much sense if you count losing all your items and grinds you have done.

Maybe "True hardcore" isn't the best name for it but "lite hardcore" certainly makes no sense either.

You only get maxed faster if you reach certain thresholds before dieing. But each death is recorded in the highscores so dieing over and over would negatively effect your highscores.

Yea my idea is definitely that it would be another server where everyone is a HCIM so drop trading wouldn't be a concern. Neither would betting or rwt.

Maybe true hardcore isn't the best name but, that could always be changed.

Idk if I agree that it is soft core though. Having to restart from scratch would be punishing in its own right.

Also it only gets easier if you progress to a certain point in the previously life. Doubling the drop rate might just be making it to casual though.

The highscores would also say which life you are on so there would be a decent amount of prestige to being a max HCIM on your first life.

Obviously this is all just something I think would be cool. Probably has a ton of wrinkles that would need ironed out if it had any chance of ever existing.

I appreciate the feed back though.

They could also just do the first part where if you die you start from scratch and everything stays the same. Maybe two separate servers, one for more intense players where nothing changes with each life. Then one for more casual players like myself with the ideas I mentioned.

Fair point but, my thought is most people die on a hardcore and just continue on iron like you said. "True hardcore" feels like it would be a good way to have all the fun parts of hardcore but less punishing.

The drops being halved just seemed like a way for casual players to join as well but, I can see how that would be a turn off for some people who really enjoy the grind.

The experiences rates are mainly so you can get back to grinding end game as soon as possible.

I figured having it be a completely different high score would make traditional hardcores a bit more ok with it

Edit:

Another reason I think it would be interesting is I wouldn't have to pay for a new account to do it again. Seems wasteful to stop playing an account with 3 months left on it and making a new account.

I haven't died yet but that's my main concern. Dying with a bunch of membership left over.

I was thinking it is the best way to make up for having to completely restart after a death.

Also having to earn it gives a sense of progression reward.
