I was at Girl Scout camp and we climbed this huge set of boulders and cliffs. It had rained earlier that day, our shoes were pretty muddy and we were all tired. We had perched ourselves on one of the sloping cliffs to eat lunch. My water bottle started rolling off and out of instinct I reached down to get it but my feet started slipping on the rock face. Luckily, the camp instructor was next to me and grabbed me around the waist, and fell back with me before I slid off. I would’ve died that day, still think about it from time to time. What a dumb way to go, too.
