[Tenant US-TX] what rights do I have as a renter in this case? by texasharp in Landlord

[–]adams361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting to make money does not make them greedy, they are in the business of renting properties for slightly more than the it costs them to own it. They likely paid a premium to buy your apartment, and need to make improvements in order to recoup their investment. I would write them an email telling them that you are planning to stay until the end of your lease, they can begin their renovations at that point.

What happened to the Sister Sister Wives podcast? by crap_on_a_spatula in SisterWives

I always got the impression that their lives were very busy, and it was hard to find the time to record.

For me, it’s Lays potato chips, occasionally a salad, sometimes cheese, sometimes fruit.

Anyone who has done the Canadian Celiac Tax Credit??? Help by willow815 in Celiac

In the US it’s completely not worth doing. I asked my account and about it when I was first diagnosed, and she just laughed.

Are you looking for The One in your Book Requests? by Infamous-Sympathy-32 in RomanceBooks

[–]adams361 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Occasionally, I’ll skim through a request and think of a book that may fit, but if they’re overly specific, and especially if they say anything about “don’t bother requesting if…” I just keep scrolling.

Is there a better chance of getting three coach seats together if we leave from a larger station? by adams361 in Amtrak

[–]adams361[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m less concerned about the trip home because it’s mostly a daytime journey. Something about getting on a full train at 4:30 in the morning when everyone is sleeping and trying to get situated is making me nervous.

Making sure I still have celiac by pablopicasso10 in Celiac

[–]adams361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were just a stomach ache, I may be tempted to cheat occasionally. But I deal with weeks of intense brain fog, so it is not worth any amount of damage I’m doing to my body just to cheat.

Would you pay 30k for a membership? by Puchilu in SisterWives

[–]adams361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of the post is thanking the member that helped them get in. Even if they had the money for the membership, they are ridiculously difficult to get. I have acquaintances who’ve been waiting for years.

I think it’s all Truely. Another one of the pictures that Christine posted showed Truely with this super funky steam punk hat, she’s a unique young girl with a distinct style.

Hey guys, have you noticed that Robyn seems to be flying solo a lot lately? Wondering if she's, ya know, friendless. Anyone have the scoop? by Fluxiora in TLCsisterwives

[–]adams361 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After the fact, the other wives talked about how they would’ve helped if they had known. They all have friends and family that would have been helping them in that situation, I think they assumed Robyn did as well.

I would confirm before leaving the one that you’re in, some sky club rules seem to be a little fluid.

Is it dangerous for K&N to be encouraging credit card debt as much as they do? by adams361 in KaraAndNate

[–]adams361[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Apparently, I’m the only one concerned about this, which is probably good. I’m usually a Kara and Nate apologist, but something about their Instagram story today seemed so predatory to me.

Renting chair/umbrella with drink service in grand cayman? by chumbawumbacholula in Cruise

[–]adams361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could contact some of the hotels around the port directly to see if they do day passes. We stayed at a hotel on a different island once and days that there were cruise ships a bus load of people would show up in the middle of the day, and sit on the beach and drink daiquiris. I’ve never been to Grand Cayman, so I’m not sure if that’s something that happens there, but it is fairly common at other ports.

My kids are a year apart, sometimes they were together, sometimes they weren’t. We’ve never found a cruise line that allowed kids to go up or down in club level.

[–]adams361[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, Truely is not an adult, not that that makes a difference. My most recent trip to Disneyland, my two kids were older teenagers, and it was by far my best visit. Pretty sure there’s not an age requirement for enjoying Disneyland.

When did you start driving again? by Only-Ad-7858 in hysterectomy

My doctor’s guidance was two weeks, as long as I wasn’t on any narcotics. Even then he suggested only short trips.

I live pretty close to Christine, and I know a few people that have annual passes to Disneyland. Flights are cheap, or it’s a 10 hour drive, so people go a lot.

Dang, I thought I changed my phone so that it would default to the correct spelling of Christine, I failed.
