I don’t know why people think a reluctant mother is a “better” or “healthier” human that someone who clearly says “pass, not thank you”. Like the societal harm in insisting that you would change your mind is you could end up parenting a child and you clearly don’t want to. I think people are mad you have disposable income lol

I’ve only heard my daughter tell me she loves me a half a dozen times. When she learned to write she left me a hundred notes, everywhere. All of them said I love you. This shit it pure love and I’m crying for this mom. I’m so glad she got to capture this.

I’m excellent with a gun and I was raised by hunters.

I also saw a blue heron today on a walk with my dog (gun alternative). I watched my kid pick up garbage that wasn’t theirs on the way into school. I helped an elder with their bags at the store even though they had a trump sticker on their truck (they have been sold fear. It’s not hopeless) it’s not all bad. It can be so much better

I usually get my news through the BBC lately, I absolutely see the global atrocities. I am glad my daughter has access to an education and life but I also think it’s ridiculous that my teenager is in therapy from panic attacks that started in first grade active shooter drills.

My sister literally just texted me and told me to stop watching the news, it’s probably a good call

I am going to take my kids for ice cream (nervous) but I’ll pretend extra hard that I’m not terrified. I’m still grateful I am not in Palestine. I am still terrified for my fellow human souls in Ukraine. All these things are true and unnecessary and at the mercy of a handful of the most powerful humans.

I’m starting to stay home like Covid quarantine almost. Even picking my kids up at school at the end of the day I am scanning the parking lot for angry violent humans with guns. It’s horrible and I wouldn’t blame you for avoiding all crowded places. I tried to take my kids to what I thought was a farmers market in our downtown and it was a second amendment rally. A hostile one when they heard me tell my kids we couldn’t go down to the booths. Like … the fuck are we supposed to do? Schools, Church, stores, clubs, libraries, malls … no where is safe and it’s not paranoia. I hope you stay safe. I hope we all do.

I think Harold’s anger is mainly (not entirely) focused on the suits behind the palace. The men in grey. The comms teams. I made my way through the audiobook of spare so I could hear him read it (since he didn’t write most of it) to see how he actually felt about pieces and he’s spitting angry when he talks about the suits. He sounds like he’s fluffed up like an alleycat. They didn’t protect Megan, they wouldn’t give Archie security, they wouldn’t dispute the tabloids, they wouldn’t let Meghan bully staff on and on. Obviously he hates his brother and Catherine and the king and queen but it seems like his center focus is the admin
