Even then, do you really think underhand looks 'stupid'? I watched Canyon Barry do it in the 3v3 Olympics and didn't even bat an eye. It just feels like a very early-2000s gotta look gangsta problem that has somehow persisted despite everything else moving on (just look at player arena entrance fashion choices if you're still unconvinced).

Alex Jones' Infowars to be auctioned off to pay Sandy Hook families

Babu_the_Ocelot
commented

Is this not just one big old convoluted way of doing what Jones has always done: grift to pay his bills? Who, other than InfoWars faithfuls, are going to buy that shit. I can see a reality where a bunch of them get together to buy the IP rights and then gift them back to Alex because he's 'fighting the good fight'. The only positive outcome in that scenario is that at least the SH families get paid...

Learned helplessness demonstration

This isn't a totally fair comparison though, because as much as we like to say 'everyone is unique', honestly a lot of people look for the exact same things, especially in dating. It's therefore untrue to claim that you're dealing with completely new parameters each time you meet someone new. Persons X, Y and Z may have different interests, they may prefer a more/less active partner, they may want them to be interested in A rather than B or C, but they'll nearly all want someone who is stable, can converse easily enough, who cares about their (mental) health and appearance, and who shares similar values (and this last one, while variable, is still relatively fixed for the general population). And these latter qualities tend to trump the former in terms of dealbreakers. I've never based my dating life on the former - sure it's nice if we have some similar hobbies, but ultimately I've always looked for someone who clearly has their shit together, looks after themselves, and has a similar moral compass to myself.

The problem with your statement is that it's a perspective which is presented as a fact. Given that it stems from a defeatist attitude, I don't think it's helpful to endorse such a view.

Vader's German suplex was absolutely brutal

I mean that counterpoint only works in an historic context - it's easy to see why, based on your point, people thought he was great in the day. I think OPs point is precisely that they are surprised how revered Vader still is on this sub, given what we now know about his attitude towards his colleagues.

In fairness to the people in Pennsylvania, it's the tens of millions of people across America enabling this to be the case that are equally to blame if it comes to pass.

You've completely missing the point of my comment. An objective discussion about the interpretation of a semantical point doesn't have anything to do with my stance on Armstrong generally, or whether or not I care about sexual assault (which is an asinine and unfair assumption).

Eh? I don't think it's particularly controversial to say if a close friend is charged with a serious crime people are likely to wait to hear evidence before making a decision on whether or not to support them. For all we know he could have been on the phone saying "You know me, I didn't do it." Now if Masterson wasn't a particularly close friend then sure, this is a moot point, but it's all just speculation at our end anyway so I don't think my interpretation is any better/worse than yours.

Incredible actor - I don't even know if Star Wars is in my top five for him in terms of performances: he was that good.

I assumed she meant Masterson himself. It wouldn't be ridiculous for a friend to support a friend on their request, and then realise their friend is a piece of shit and dip. That said, combined with her ties to scientology, it certainly doesn't look good.

Adam Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' Begins Production

But it's explained how he found out in the deleted scene. The point being made is that it felt like an unresolved plot point - and certainly one you expect to be resolved given how protective Happy is of his grandmother, and how explosive his temper is.

Golden Spatula Epic Version

Oh I see - I'm unfamiliar with the relic, so if that's the case then you're absolutely right. I just assumed it would be 18 first hurdle for 1, because otherwise it's pretty ass!

Doesn't that nerf it though? 18 is always active too, and plus 12 is still 30 which you hit after a battle or two. Currently you get +3 after 42 cards with the relic, you're suggestion would require 45.

Also it's a click-baity headline - he prefaces this quote by saying exactly this. I think a fairer reinterpretation is: 'damn I sure hope I can get in the ring soon because TK has paid me to wrestle and I haven't been able to do shit yet because of injuries'.

Probably because the whole Kang dynasty storyline adaptation was just ass. Marvel wants to move on.
