Pardon me if this isn't the place to post.
My year with tesla electric in Texas. Thought I'd share my results and thoughts on my first year with tesla's VPP here in Texas and I'm going to keep it short and sweet. I only have one powerwall, which proves adequate, and purchased it before VPP was available in my state, it's come in handy during the blackout and various other interruption of service, which in my eyes, paid for itself. At the beginning of the year, my first three months had a balance of 60, 20, and 5 bucks, respectively. For the year of 2023, we wound up with a surplus of over $700, which was deposited into my bank, we have the option of rolling over our credits but decided not to. 3362.78 kwh sold. Tesla buys AND sells at market rates, which can vary from .001 cents to as high as 7.00 dollars a kwh. I'm not sure, but I think it reached $10 per kwh, for a few minutes. When with green mountain, they bought for whatever rate it was, basically a 1 for 1 and free nights.
The rate with green mountain was .14 cents per kwh. So, for the same amount we would have purchased, it would have been about $470 ish.
To can draw your own conclusions from this information, as I'm too lazy to type it all up here.
Signed contract for 2 PW installs in July with Infinity Energy. The PW's have physically been installed but not officially hooked up to the grid/home. IE, before they stopped responding to me, kept informing me they were waiting on a load panel to arrive before final install can happen. Contract states they have 1 year to complete the project.
What are my options for getting this project complete in lieu of this company no longer existing? Do I wait out the year (July '24) to see if a new company absorbs IE's old business and completes the job? Do I need to be more proactive at this time?
