As a frequent business renter, very true. Nissan, VW, Ford, Hyundai, GM, Tesla, Toyota, and Honda have all been on my list of cars I've driven this year.
I dont keep the top box mounted unless I need it. I take the bike when I fly out, its 1.5 to 2 hours to any of my three major airports here near DC. Helmet and jacket both go in the top box, boots in one of the side cases. Other side case keeps the first aid kit, flat tire, Frogg Toggs, and tools :)
Last summer, we needed to pick up a 60lb avionics box and get it to the lab for its new life there. Said I'd fetch it on the bike. "Its 60lbs!!!!", "Well, I can carry a 180lb passenger, so it'll be fine".
