Windows 11 PC - Randomly becomes unresponsive

Yes, those are the commands! I did not try Windows Repair yet, I’ll give that a shot as well, thanks!

Windows 11 PC - Randomly becomes unresponsive
Open | Software

Hey, everyone!

I am having an issue with my PC that I just can't seem to get to the bottom of. Randomly, the following things happen:

  • my RGB fans (NZXT, controlled by NZXT Cam) turn white

  • taskbar becomes completely unresponsive, nothing I click does anything, it just shows the click animation

  • task manager won't open anymore, Win + R does nothing

  • no programs in the system tray open (Steam, AMD Adrenalin, etc.)

The only thing I can do is turn it off by long-pressing the case button - just pressing once does nothing, and the Windows taskbar menu won't open. After turning it back on, it's running fine - for a while.

Things I've tried:

  • updating drivers and Windows to the latest version

  • checked event viewer for any errors (had a few related to GameInput and an older version of AMD Ryzen Master, fixed them)

  • checked health of my SSD and HDD, they're both fine

  • ran two commands in Command Prompt (don't remember their name right now, but they are commonly recommended)

I am at my wit's end - the only things I have not tried are a BIOS update or a full reinstall.

Any other suggestions on what I could try or what could be happening?

Thank you!

Yeah, German, Italian, and French cars are much easier to keep on the road in Europe - parts are generally cheaper (unless we're talking about luxury brands) and most mechanics know how to work on them. Japanese and Korean cars are not unpopular by any means, but finding mechanics who know how to work on them properly can be a challenge.

It’s just about the novelty of it, I also already have a FLAC collection + Apple Music. But choosing a CD and putting it in a player feels more…intentional. Makes me want to listen to the whole album, you know?

Gotcha, thank you! I’ll listen to both and see which one I like more.

I’m also thinking about getting a portable CD player - don’t think there are any modern ones being made anymore. Sony Discmans are some of the best as far as I know - any others too look out for on the second hand market?

Hey all! I wanna get back into CDs, but don't have a CD player. Fortunately, my dad has two and told me to pick whichever one I want - Harman/Kardon HD7300 and Sansui CD-270. Which one should I go with?
