What is just not the “flex” that people think it is? by DaveBeYou in AskReddit

When I was in college, around 2004-2005ish, there was a taxi service called "Bobs Limo Service" or something like that. they would take you anywhere in town for like, 5 bucks per person. And they had a few early to mid 90's Towncars and Cadillac stretch limos. Old enough and enough miles that they were retired from full prom/wedding/airport duty, but just fine for drunk colleges kids to get rides to the bars on the other side of town.

Have the hood off for paint. But the new 2-in-1 coolant/intercooler tank looks amazing out in the open! by DarkShadow04 in NewedgeMustang

I can honestly say I have no idea what intercooler I have.

But if you are asking about the tank...it came from Harpell Auto Fab. The guy makes them out of his garage. But he recently got a shop. Check him out on his Instagram

It may have something to do with the blower sticking out. I got a ton of questions about how in the world the hood actually fit.

Upgrading Parts on my 02 Gt by Ashamed-Ferret-9876 in NewedgeMustang

I had a Tri-Ax on my 04 GT with the TR3650 and loved it.

Then I had a MGW orange handle on my 99 Cobra with the T45 and didn't love it. Not bad, just didn't feel like it was as good as the Tri-Ax.

I picked up an 04 Cobra. It had a MGW on the T56, it was fine.

Blew up that T56, put in a Magnum. The T56 Magnum has the stock Magnum shifter with a Tri-Ax handle. Love it to death!

Moral of the story: Get a Magnum with a Tri-Ax handle, and you cant go wrong! /s

My parents had a '97 Aurora 20ish years ago. I loved that thing. It was large, had a V8, drove like a couch, and (I thought) it looked cool. It seemed pretty advanced for its time.

Sad to see when they end up looking like this.

Are you the one that keeps messaging people on Insta to have their car sketched? You're actually legit and not a spammer?

I think it was around $5k, installed. So, definitely not cheap.

But 2nd gear of the (alleged) Viper Spec t56 said "NOT TODAY!" when out for one of its last drive of the 2021 season. Ironically, we were headed up to our preferred shop for a checkup since the engine had been replaced the winter before.

The shop warned us after the new engine was installed that the trans likely wasn't up to the task of 710whp and 620wtq. So while it wasn't something we wanted to shell out for, it wasn't totally unexpected.

That said, the Magnum is probably one of the best shifting trans' I've ever driven...so it was ultimately worth it.

I had a Magnum put in my car a couple years ago and you are correct on the 1st gear choices. 2.97 or 2.66.

If you go with the 2.97 option, 6th gear is .5, but if you go with the 2.66 option 6th gear is .63.

We wanted the .5 6th since we do a fair bit of highway driving to and from the track and car shows, but 2.97 was way too much for 1st gear. Our speed shop talked us into a customized trans. So we got the 2.66 version, but had 6th gear swapped out for the .5 gear. I didn't even know that was possible, but now it cruises 80mph at 1800-1900 RPM with a 3.73 rear.

I have an 04 Cobra and have amber tail lights and real Cobra R seats in mine. I get asked at least once at every car show to sell my seats or tail lights.

I haven't touched my drums in over 10years and I was about to say that I love Zildjian cymbals...but prefer Vic Firth sticks...but then I just looked it up and realized that Zildjian owns Vic Firth.

Xerox also does OEM manufacturing for at least some HP toner/cartridges as well.

We lease Xerox copiers and HP printers in our office and our remote offices. Xerox has the maintenance and toner contracts so if a machine needs toner, it is shipped directly to that office. A couple years ago they told us they had taken over manufacturing of HP toner and cartridges so from that point on all of our HP toner would stop being "refilled" or 3rd party cartridges and become OEM HP branded toner.

What if someone wanted to pay you to make a copy of that box for them. What would that cost?

Put a pony in the grill, add a chin spoiler, fix the front wheel excessive camber...unless you can't, in which case install caster/camber plates so you can, and add matching wheels.

Some people will say that FR500 wheels are played out, maybe they're right. But I like them and have them on my car and they aren't NEARLY as common as Bullitt replicas. Bonus: FR500 wheels clear big brake kits.

My GT500 Supersnake by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]DarkShadow04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a very nice looking car. If he would have said "check out my customized GT" it would have been cool (other than the Cobra badging on the sides).

But coming up in here and saying its a "GT500 Supersnake" when it clearly is a GT with a body kit and some snake emblems slapped on the side just destroys his credibility.

What does it look like under the hood?

That does not look like a GT500. Let alone a Super Snake.

How are these lines normaly routed? I heard a vacuum leak, and found this mess. by Scorpion7635 in NewedgeMustang

I always thought it would be sweet to have a set of 99-01 Cobra/03-04 GT Premium wheels widened to like 10.5 or 11 inches. Such a good looking wheel.

What is the wheel setup on this thing? Those kinda look like 03-04 GT Premium wheels, but way wider. Or the camera is making the perspective weird.
