Is there any GD firmware for ender 3 v2 neo? by iskrus in Ender3V2NEO

mriscoc's firmware works just fine on mine. 4.2.2 board with GD chip and TJC screen.

They only use the stick for a couple of minutes per flight though. The rest of the time the plane will be in autopilot.

Creality ship their printers with garbage-tier SD cards, mine died after just 3 days. Just use another one.

I recall that during the early days of the war many oligarch's yachts were scrambling to get to ports where they would be out of the reach of sanctions and wouldn't get seized. Many of them sailed with AIS turned off, contrary to maritime law.

From the video I thought people were lining up to enter a building. Nope, it's just someone on the street with an orb and a laptop with people who sign up having to kneel on a filthy pavement.

People are not only giving up their biometric data, but their dignity as well.

It's also worth considering that prevailing winds are from west to east and would carry nuclear fallout back over Russia and Belarus. That could potentially cause more deaths than from the explosions alone.

Although airburst detonations like at Hiroshima and Nagasaki are preferred due to the lack of fallout, deployment of a number of tactical nukes would inevitably produce a number ground bursts.

The majority of the fleet is based in Novorossiyk. I can't conceive of any operation Ukraine could carry out to cause significant damage to it there.

Firmware update by aryklein in Ender3V2NEO

[–]karlos-the-jackal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a new V2 Neo owner and am also confused about this. Mine came with v1.1.6 out of the box but this isn't listed on the download page at all while some older versions are. And why did they release a 1.1.5.2 English/Japanese firmware on June 1st together with a 9-language 1.1.8?

Also there is nothing in the release notes to say what 1.1.8 fixes or if it adds any new features. As mine is working ok I think I'll just leave it for now.

The days of using modified DJI and other consumer level drones must surely be coming to an end. It's fairly trivial to jam their signals.

Hardened mil-spec drones that employ frequency hopping and other anti-jamming techniques will have to come to the fore. The problem, as with anything mil-spec, is cost.

£20bn set aside to develop small nuclear power stations by Caprylate in ukpolitics

[–]karlos-the-jackal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nuclear has a 92% CF, which I would consider pretty huge. It also has the advantage that you can take one plant down at a time for maintenance/refuelling. Renewables all go down at the same time.

Except in Scotland. Ineos want an SMR at their Grangemouth chemical plant but the SNP gov have already said no. I imagine they will block all other nuclear plans too.

The pound today is $1.30 same as it was back then, and foodstuffs traded globally are priced in dollars.

You're not doing a good job of proving your point here.

UK poised to drop plans to replace home gas boilers with hydrogen alternatives by gravy_baron in ukpolitics

Good. Piping hydrogen to people's homes is silly for a number of reasons, not least that the round-trip efficiency of H2 derived from electrolysis is only 30%.
