Posts like this are against the rules. Moderators have had previous versions of this sub shut down for "brigading" even though all people did was moan they were banned by toxic mods and didn't engage in brigading at all.

Yeah I agree with you, since losing a lot of weight I can carry more and carry it further.

Taking an average man of around 80KG the 20% rule gives you 16KG, so 10 to 15KG is definitely optimal, over 15KG and you are probably taking too much. And to get under 10 or 11KG you need to spend a lot on lightweight gear.

Beyond average body weight the rule starts to break down. If you weigh more due to muscle you may be able to carry more, but if you weigh a lot more due to fat then you might not even be able to carry as much as an average weight person or at least not as easily.

It's fine but doesn't meet your requirements of having two vestibules and it would be worse than a trekking pole tent like the Lanshan in the wind.

Be careful choosing a two person tent, many of them aren't big enough for two people. Most people would describe a two person tent as "one person plus gear", and a three person tent as "two people plus gear".

You mentioned the Lanshan 2, I have one and it's not big enough for two people. It's only 110cm wide inside which means you'd both have to be using unusually narrow sleeping mats. My narrowest is 57cm.

For comparison I have a Vango Blade Pro 200 that's a two man tent and is 160cm wide inside. That is a true two person tent.

They vary a lot, so check the dimensions before you buy.

Hard to vote as it depends on where I'm going. In my local area there aren't any safe water sources so I have to buy bottles at shops and carry everything I'll need (up to 5 litres).

In remote parts of the country I use a filter and tablets.
