Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed.

How to enrich the life of my pals who is 35, stuck in a nursing home on a ventilator?
My friend passed at 30 and I was in the same predicament. He never got on a vent but he was getting so bored being homebound.
He also didn't read, picky about shows, etc. A stubborn butt.
In the end I found the things he enjoyed most was company. We did a few game nights and had other friends over. Hung and watched movies. He couldn't really eat anymore but like when we hung and got food because it was "normal".
