With sci fi it’s an easy fix “Thank god we invented the... device “
What does NZ bring to CANZUK? Are we just the little cousin coming along for ride haha. Or are we the retirement destination for the UK?
To answer this question NZ is actually a world leader in many vitally important aspects:
-Democracy -Rule of law -Freedom of press -Free and fair elections -Freedom from corruption
These are not trifling matters in the current geopolitical climate
I have always preferred the quality, history and elegance of smaller vintage watches. I started my collection on the high end with the Rolex and have picked up a few other pieces over time that fit my tastes. I’m from Lancaster, PA, so the Hamilton’s have a special place in my heart, always!
Watch #1: 1950’s Bulova Tank Watch 10k gold plated, blued hands, faceted crystal and very unique numerals. The real story is that this was my wife’s grandfather’s watch. I was honored to have it handed down to me, as the family knows I am a vintage watch lover. So this one has the family connection. It also has his name engraved on the back
Watch #2: 1938 Hamilton Cameron tank watch 14K solid gold case and crown, 18k solid gold indices. Lovely piece. One of my faves. Manual wind 982 movement.
Watch #3: 1953 Hamilton Gilmore 10K solid gold case, 18k solid gold numerals, similar to the Cameron but slightly larger and newer manual 754 movement.
Watch #3: 1950’s LeCoultre Mystery Dial This is a very unique watch and kind of hard to find a lot of details on the yellow gold model. This one is solid 14k gold case with floating disc diamond marker hands. It’s a in-house movement. Super unique. Check my account for a post with a cool time lapse. This one caught my eye on a killer deal I couldn’t pass up. Read that it was a collab with Vacheron to make the dial.
Watch #4: 1960’s Omega Seamaster Caliber 552 automatic movement, 264 micron gold capped case. Lovely original dial and crystal. Maybe the most enjoyable to wear of the bunch. Just a classic.
Watch #5: 1978 Rolex Air King 5500 This is the one that started the jump into vintage pieces. I picked this up fully serviced at Rolliwerks and runs amazing. Lovely original case, dial crown and oyster bracelet. A simple, elegant, versatile and understated Rolex is the only one I would own. Ryan Gosling convinced me (not personally) through his collection to pick up a vintage air king. The champagne dial is a bit more rare for the model and i like the balance.
My kind of collection
Well, the biscuit does sound delicious.
Yo what biscuit is this? I need to try one
This is the best advice
Great advice. 6 months ago I was applying to jobs in Iceland and Tesco and warehouses, now I’m back working in my profession
Don't like London. I'm looking for Scotland mostly or some "northern" cities near.
Try Salisbury
Oh, you may be right on this one. Now that you mention it I too do think the correct version of the adverb is barato, but I am not a philologist.
“Not a philologist”
That’s a shame you should give stamp collecting a try
Maybe I'm missing the joke but that would be philatelist.
No, that’s the joke. Maybe I should stay off the dad jokes subreddit
I believe I saw your username stirring things up in there
