What companies are you seeing layoffs from? I haven't heard/seen much on Linkedin but not following super close since I'm not doing stats programming (but am a biostatistician).
Always feels like the chances are higher after you already have one. :)
Just 30 million dollars of damage to the capitol on January 6.
Ann Arbor lost a ton of pharma in 2008 from what I heard. Maybe check out the VA?
What’s the VA?
Veterans Affairs. They do quite a bit of research and paper publishing out of AA. It's not lab work though.
Unfortunately, plenty of selfish people adopt cats but don’t want to put up with instinctive behaviors like scratching. Instead of finding another, more suitable pet...
Or getting scratching posts. It isn't just selfishness it's laziness.
Tip for cat owners: next to everything your cat likes to scratch that's a no-no put an alternative right by it. Then guide kitty to the alternative and kitty will use alternative.
If in these trying times you cannot afford one, make one.
We have like 3 scratching posts (and have tried sprinkling catnip on some) and they still scratch the chair and not the posts. 😭
They didn't have the data to back it up before. FDA approved the updated booster ahead of that data. And now the data is in.
Bivalent booster elicited approximately 4-fold higher neutralizing antibody titers against Omicron BA.4/BA.5 sublineages compared to the original COVID-19 vaccine in individuals older than 55 years of age
Irritatingly, they didn't have a bunch of under 55 yo people taking the original booster to compare against those taking the updated booster. Or they did but aren't sharing that data.
I read briefly but didn't they?
One-month after a 30-µg booster dose of the bivalent vaccine, Omicron BA.4/BA.5-neutralizing antibody titers increased 13.2-fold from pre-booster levels in adults older than 55 years of age and 9.5-fold in adults 18 to 55 years of age, compared to a 2.9-fold increase in adults older than 55 years or age who received the original booster vaccine
And like… what if you need to go through an metal detector or get a MRI or use a pottery wheel or just want to take a shower with no jewelry on? It just seems so weird to me. I get the sentiment but idk it’s not for me.
You can cut it with scissors and get reattached later usually for~10 bucks. I've had one for over a year and have had no issues with it.
