I just plant a mother plant in March to take clones from, although I do have significant grow lights/grow setup for growing weed (Legal here) So I finish my weed crop mid March and switch my setup to seedling mode, my garden doesn't get much sun so I like to have my plants nice and big before I move them outside.
I have a 4x8 tent and 2x 2000w lights in there (actual consumption about 800w).

I made like 50 clones of tomatoes this spring to give away to people by filling Styrofoam cups with dirt and sticking some cuttings into them.
45/50 survived, the other 5 I forgot in my basement.

When it comes down to it a good portion of society is not big on major changes, NDP's platform is very much always over the top, making big promises about major issues that yes do need resolved but they want to try to accomplish too much at once and a lot of people are against that.
Otherwise..
Social Conservatives: Want to live in the 1950's, It's the cold war and in their minds social programs = communism, since NDP want to implement social programs they won't get any votes for them.
Fiscal Conservatives: Hardcore capitalists, very much think money must be earned and while maybe voters may not all agree with them conservative politicians like give tax cuts to big business and hope for a trickle down effect, the NDP are the opposite and want to tax big business even more so fiscal conservatives are unlikely to vote NDP
Liberals: well they're kind of centre of our political spectrum, they kind of tip toe towards progress I guess you could say, very reserved in the grand scheme of things, I know a lot of people will likely disagree with me on that statement but the reality is not much changes under the liberals and them having a minority is both why we won't see big changes and why we had a big change (agreement with NDP), some Liberal voters will vote NDP others may vote conservative if the leader seems fiscally sound (Currently that's a big no).
BLOQ: BLOQ MAJORITAIRE! While I've visited Quebec 100 times, I've never really followed the politics there much, I seem to remember more of them voting liberal in the past although I could be mistaken, my biggest guess if the BLOQ crumbled and the NDP got a new leader a lot of votes would go Liberal and another good portion go NDP with conservatives coming in 3rd.
Obviously I skipped a bunch of pertinent info on each party however the points I did mention are relevant to this question, in short
TLDR: NDP would need more of the population to lean left and for their platform to be more reasonable.
