I would love love love opening the debates up to more parties. But I think the biggest things the debates need is a strict moderator on the mics. You shouldn't get to trash talk your opponent while they are speaking.

I have no reason to think we are close to that finite number of losses. 1. Putin still has minorities and prisoners to throw into this war. 2. Putin still has large support in side Russia. Brainwashing is a bitch. 3. Allowing Russia to end in a place that increases their trading ability, will incentize more aggression. And that fuels his dream of Russian federation which increases the possibility of more aggression.

We could sign a treaty that says Russia now has x amount of land. But Putin has made it clear what he is coming for. He wants to create aRussian Federation. (Not recreate the soviet union. He does use that term in his speaches.) He wants to punish those that he deems as having hurt russia. He isn't stoping because he got some economic gain.

Putin has made it clear he is doing this for reasons that are beyond the base economic reasons. Yes, there are economic reasons that he is focusing on the Donbas and Mariupol.

But those reasons are not why he tried to take Kyiv. He views Ukraine as having betrayed Russia. That isn't going away because he took a chunk of land. His views of US aggression and Nato expansion are not going to change. Any peace negotiated now will be false.

You don't commit the atrocities of Mariupol without otherizing the enemy in the extreme to you people. How do you think Ukrainians would be treated by an occupating Russian force? They use rape as a method of war. Rape on that scale is genocide. Leaving under constant threat, being forcibly separated from your family, that isn't peace. Occupation is not peace.
