Depends on if you can get approval for an availability change. Came in as a part timer working nights and weekends because I work a 9 to 5 elsewhere. Transitioned to exclusively weekends because working 14 hour days took it's toll on me physically and mentally.

Just a few facts:

If you stole $175 from the restaurant as an employee, they would fire you, press charges, and still expect you to return the money.

They are still getting away with theft because even if they pay back the exact dollar amount to each of the victims, the value of the money they stole has decreased with inflation and opportunity cost since the crimes occurred.

Wage theft is by far the most prevalent and far reaching form of robbery and it's still not criminalized the same or publicized in the same manner as other forms of crime.

I'm petty enough to present that speach with the flu if I had no other choice. IDC how miserable I am, everybody suffers if I'm failing otherwise. Bet that would be the last time she's allowed to have no exceptions for making up those speaches.

I'm sending an email 2 days prior to her and the department head asking for an extension and giving the reason why. If she doesn't respond or says I'm failing if I don't attend she and the school are liable not me.

I purposely activate the barcode scanner randomly when I have to keep the zebra in my hand for any long period of time so 'guests' don't think it's my phone. I especially hated when hr made me complete training on the sale's floor because they didn't schedule any other coverage in electronics. Had me paranoid that someone would complain that I was bsing at the boat instead of working.
