wizarding school, which is like regular school except magical and fun!
Magical yes, but not fun. I think one of the best things about the HP series was how the tensions and worries of normal school life were reproduced in a world that was magical (both literally and figuratively) in its appearance.

I would question whether a huge purchase (the largest single purchase you ever make except for a house), simply for status, which quickly depreciates (unlike a house), is actually a "useful purchase and reasonable investment".
