Especially if it's very petite women in compromising positions.
I'm dating a horse girl. We're both adults and she's one of a pretty small minority who aren't either young girls or middle-aged. There's just an age gap there because most just can't afford it. She makes quite good money, though, so it's fine for her.
But yeah, she's crazy. Love her, but she's definitely got her issues. I do too, though, and we are both willing to accommodate.
IMO it's like boys and dinosaurs or trains or whatever.
That is to say, anybody obsessed enough to get super involved with horses isn't neurological. I say this as somebody dating a horse girl lmao.
I've known a number of doctors who I'd trust with my life, but not with much else.
For me, I've run into a number of people who are like weirdly into board games. It's literally all they think about...and I play tabletop RPGs. I'm well acquainted with obsessive autistic people and board game people are on another level.
Right? I'm not a fan at all. It's why I don't really value cosmetics in most games. I'll drop $3 without hesitation, but everybody wants to charge $15-20 for skins.
My rule is that I will pick one of the below:
-
Pay money for a game up-front
-
Pay money for a battle pass
-
Pay money for cosmetics in a shop
You don't get to mix and match. And I straight-up won't pay money for loot boxes that you gamble for cosmetics with. Too many games are like, "Hey, so pay for this game. Also pay for its battle pass. ...And then pay even more for cosmetics in the shop." Like no, I'll do one of those because you need money and I get that, but I'd rather look boring or not play than be fleeced.
IMO League does it very very well. Free to play game that lets you grind cosmetics randomly, and lets you buy them for like $10 if you really want something. They do battle passes, but they're not terribly grindy and actually pretty fun.

Yep! Part of the package is that you have to uphold ideals, policies, etc. that you personally do not agree with.
By simply working for the government you're an accomplice to all manner of crimes against people both at home and all over the world. ...But you're also supporting the rights and freedoms that your people get to enjoy. It's such a conflicting experience, and I can't really blame anybody of any political bent for refusing to work for the government.
But if you do take those oaths, you're explicitly expected to place them above your political beliefs, your faith, your friends and family. If you simply cannot do something you are called upon to do, then you resign.
If Davis had simply done that, I'd have respected the integrity of the decision even though I don't respect the opinion.
For sure! I started off in a lab and now I'm in medical administration. Most of the people I used to work with were fairly introverted, focused, and usually lacking in communication skills. But they can work with extreme precision reliably and do so for many hours at a stretch. I admire and value them.
But I'm making considerably more money than my former coworkers, because being good at organizing people and processes isn't usually a skill found in most folks in my field.
