Hah, I gave the Carrack a go like in 2021. I gave up after like a week of trying because I couldn't get the pods to attach properly and the engines to turn out well (lots of lost details).

Do you have a method to make a solid out of them so that the interior is filled up and the models are more workable?

I use a mixture of Netfabb and MeshMixer to get things sorted. These two things don't work quite well to fill the voids unfortunately. I don't think there's a easy way and you'll probably end up having to recreate it in something like Blender or Fusion 360.

Yeah making them a separate item is on my to do list. I'll get to it at some point lol.

;) You know it'll happen lol. Such a shame CIG was too lazy to partner up with a manufacturer like GamePrint (I have their STO prints and EVE prints which look quite good now days) so we can get them made on demand. You'd think sub money would go towards things like this lol.

Like I said a certain interested party has removed it. Plus I don't have the files handy on my laptop.

For FDM printing, I've just split the model and placed some support blockers around as needed. Like so: https://i.imgur.com/Ucm0eQQ.png

Obviously, you have to then glue them together and depending on printer + filament combo, this isn't ideal unless you post process fully (sanding, filling, painting).
