I mean, fries, gravy and shredded cheese is still delicious, but it's not poutine
this is a community like r/AmITheAsshole except unlike that subreddit here you can post interpersonal conflicts, anything that's AITA but is not allowed there even posting about Scar from the lion king and trying to convince redditors that he was not the AH. rules: don't berate others and no pornography we have children here

Mom was way out of line. She should have knocked, or just fucking waited. You're grown fucking adults, she has no right to just barge into a bedroom where she knows you're changing. Sounds like she went in there intentionally to disturb shit. I wish you well dealing with her in the future, but she sounds horrible. NTA
They might not have had cheese curds, they might have made their poutine with *gasp* shredded cheese, or the poutine option might have been an extra $6 and OP didn't want to pay for that. Plenty of reasons to just get the gravy.
My GF and I share a bed most of the time but also don't hesitate to split up for a number of reasons. Maybe one of us is sick, maybe I'm snoring a lot lately, someone has to be up early for something, someone is sleeping poorly and either doesn't want to be woken up or doesn't want to wake up the other person. It's actually helped our relationship a lot to not HAVE to sleep in the same bed.
It was THAT good eh?
If I'm being critical, the sear could be a bit better, but internally it's cooked perfectly. I'm sure it was delicious. My biggest recommendation though would be to sauté the asparagus, ideally in the same pan as the steak while it rests. A bit of colour and texture on asparagus is life-changing. You can also salt/pepper/oil them and roast them at high heat (somewhere around 400 for somewhere around 20mins, just check and pull them when the tips get browned to your desired doneness).
Good luck with the recovery! Developing a love for good food, as you seem to be doing, is probably a good way to go
I don't see the harm in trying to save it. Once you're done cleaning, etc., just let it sit for longer than you otherwise would to give the mold time to grow if it's inoculated. I do the same thing with lactoferments if I see something and think "Is that mold, or is it colourful bubbles?" I just let it sit for a few weeks and if it doesn't turn into actual mold, it's fine.
I think that's the crux of it. If you're looking for information about brewing, breadmaking, or cheesemaking, you're probably going to those specific subs. Sure, this one is also appropriate, but it's more general so you're probably going to post in your niche unless it's inactive.
That leaves the rest of the types of fermentation, of which lacto is the most popular, so that's what people post. Sure, people do still do things like miso, garum, etc. but those tend to be more involved than "put stuff in water with salt and keep it submerged" so they're less common.

Yeah, my cat would absolutely whollop the kitten my roommates got when he would steal his favorite sitting spot just like this. The kitten's head would snap back he was hitting so hard. Little guy was a total shit disturber though and totally deserved it
