Which was an obvious C40 clone and around and around we go.
They downvoted him for he told them the truth.
I think all hand grinders take inspiration form one another much like many other industries. Hopefully Turin is able to bring a value to the market with features not yet seen in other grinders. I think that’s why 1Z has been so successful (lower price, external adjustments, espresso capable, high quality). I’m curious to see what Turin has to offer.
Agreed. I know making “copies” can be problematic butwhen a new products takes inspiration on previous products and makes it better, I can only be happy.
You don’t need to keep the steam wand open when refilling the boiler. It’ll refill when necessary.
As for reusing the flushing water - if it looks clean then you might be flushing too much. Also even if it looks clean there’s likely coffee debris in there you don’t want to introduce back in the machine.
Reminds me why we don’t want front end devs to transfer to the back.
What even are you talking about. This is so generalized I can’t even.
I’ve met brilliant and shit FE, BE, fullstack and anything in between engineers.
Newbie question but what is the purpose of the automatic back flush?
The same as a manual one, just more convenient. The machine cycles through a backflush routine about 8 or so times.
I barely read about people buying the 64s, even though they seem to be just fine for most people. How come? Is the added cost of the 78s worth it to you guys?
I backed the 64s first but then backed out because of the motor controversy. Lance’s video confirms the motor is too weak for what I need it - brewing light roasts. $500 is not too expensive, especially for the larger burr, I decided to get that one instead. I can sell it later if I’m not happy with it but since timemore is a fairly established brand I’m hoping for the best.
How would this grinder compare to 1zpresso jx pro? I'm not sure if it's worth to "upgrade".
I assume flat burrs are better than conical burrs?
They’re different. There’s ton of material on the web but generally a flat burr is better for lighter roasts while a conical is better for darker roasts. I have a JX pro and decided to get the large boy from Timemore just to have an electric grinder that I can do light roasts with. JX pro is fantastic but light roasts can be a bit if a pain to grind.
One of those is me.
lmao honestly learn animation. that’s not something you’re going to be able to accomplish with JS. it’s not really in the realm of webdev tbh
Somebody downvoted you but it’s true. OP, you need an animated video which you can then display on the webpage.
I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish hoping the dog either gets destroyed or, better, the owner gets their shit together. What an absolute nightmare.
