Does it even still exist and perpetuate? I am not talking about the holdover small pool of extended relatives who were born into it from families who practice and have no exposure to anything else, but is it actually attracting ANY interest from outside the faith or growing those born within? Sister Wives on TLC has proven to be a firm testament that polygamy is an absolute failure and a toxic way to live. Not a single one of the eighteen kids want anything to do with it and that’s pretty pathetic, considering that this faith or belief was the primary cornerstone of the family. Are there any remaining Janelles out there who aren’t AUB, but suddenly feel drawn to the calling of plural marriage? It would be interesting to see what effect if any Kody’s public shenanigans have had on the faith if any

Kody really pointed to everyone but himself when he lost the relationship with his kids and wives. He did not see their viewpoint about being present with each wife, rather than visiting for 5 hours and leaving to Robyn’s house. At that point you’re having an affair and we’re back to the 1980’s when Robyn’s dad was doing exactly that and called it polygamy. I’m happy they each were able to walk away and find their own true happiness, with the unfortunate passing.

Does anyone else feel like they were running/escaping from something when they just up an decided to move to Flagstaff? 🤔

Then she goes on to tell Meri how it’s difficult for her to be around Kody constantly and she’s worried about kids not seeing their dad and wives not seeing their husband. Then ends with a curt, OK?! This was in response to Meri calling her out about not being able to see Robyn and her kids after following all the Covid rules. Of course, Robyn says it’s because she was waiting for Kody to tell the other wives about it first so they won’t get mad. Meri almost had her, and then per usual, Robyn twists it and makes herself the victim. So then, of course, Meri starts apologizing to her.

Robyn is just so full of shit. She has done the exact opposite of what she claims.

I enjoyed the video but at the end I’m really thinking it was part therapy session for him. And that’s fine with me. I didn’t grow up in that culture but I completely understand the need to vent, I’m guessing some of the people that tuned in were some friends to help him get through the watch! Actually it reminded me of times that I needed a vent session/therapy. Wow, just wow.

After finishing that episode I started on the honeymoon episode and he even said he was having his healthy green drink instead. I just felt so sorry for him growing up in that culture.

The TV is on in the background and the episode where Kody visits Meri expecting to see Leon and Audrey only to be told they left a week ago and he's disappointed, I know this has been hashed out before, but seriously, he didn't pick up his phone and talk to anyone and find out Leon and Audrey had been, stayed, and left a week prior to his visit is mind boggling.

So, I’m trying to see the moment Kody begins to become cynical and unhappy… I think maybe around the catfishing event… but truly I wonder if it’s always been that way and started to come to the service as they grew more popular?

I consider myself an expert on Sister Wives. The family intrigued me from the start and I must have rewatched every episode at least 4 times. I've read the book, watch YouTube creators, listened to podcasts and snarked in chat groups and bought the tee shirt.

It's nice to learn something new.

I really love listening to Ben, there is always something enlightening. It is a far cry from Mykelti/Gwen recaps.

Today watching he briefly talked about Grandpa Wynn, he said he was a very scary man and no children should ever be around him.

It made me think about Kody and his upbringing... I would love to learn more about how this shaped him and Nature vs Nuture.

There is so much more to learn about them all, their upbringings etc that TLC could explore.

Just wanted to plug Fresh King and has anyone else listened and what is your opinion?

Omg Robyn got on my nerves so bad she literally antagonised the discussion and turned it into a debate..

It felt so insensitive to the ex mormons who where sharing stories of abuse.. surely Robyn who went through an abusive relationship of all people would understand. and then her kiss assing of Kody after “you stood up for your beliefs and im proud of you” Yess honey you did so good dismissing the stories that where shared!! yes some polygamists abuse children but not me!! im a good guy!

at the end they say they where sad to not reach a conclusion of “agree to disagree” but kristen literally said she felt she had a right just as much as they do to speak their feelings on polygamy but got completely dismissed.

I didn’t take a picture because that’s weird. But it was crazy haha. I saw David and thought “nah that’s gotta be a different man” and then I saw truely and Aspen and Christine. I wanted to say hi but she was with her grandkids and I didn’t want to disturb their peace.

One of my favorite things to do is to disprove lies they’ve told on the show using facts or observations seen on the show. What are some of your favorites?

I always rant about Kody’s excuses to leave Christine during labor and why it was solely to see Robyn, but I also like Robyn claiming she never took the personality test. My new one I heard during my current rewatch is Janelle and Meri both implying they had no issues in their bedroom activities and Kody saying you shouldn’t be sexually active if you don’t love someone, then later saying he never loved the OG3.

I know this has been discussed at length. I’m rewatching the episode where it’s Garrison, Brianna, Christine and Aurora have birthdays. (In different orders). I notice Christine’s family makes it a priority to go house to house to distantly sing happy birthday to each person. When they get to Robyn and Kody to sing to one of the girls they can’t even be bothered to get out of the doorway. Kody is just outside. The rest are all physically inside the house still. I wonder if one day Robyn’s kids will watch this and see what horrible hypocrites her parents are.

Benjamin Brown (Kody's nephew, The Fresh King Benjamin on tik tok and YouTube) has been watching the show for the first time. He posts recaps on his tik tok and they're on his YouTube as well. Tomorrow (Sunday July 14, 2024), he will be live watching the season 1 honeymoon special. It will be at 10am Mountain time if anyone wants to check it out.

I've enjoyed his insights and perspective on the family and the religious aspects. He's no longer practicing any form of Mormonism so he doesn't sugar coat the religious parts. It's not bashing on the family either, even though he's not close to Kody (or his dad Scott). Grandma Genielle and Christine seem to be his favorite family members.

He’s got lots of kids. Robyn made an offer to Merri, but she obviously can’t carry hers and Kody’s and Mari’s and Kodi’s at the same time.

I just think it’s interesting that once the offer is made, it’s now urgent. If Robyn was really being transparent, she’d admit she wants to also have another pregnancy with Kody.

I think Meri is feeling some power to manipulate things here. She can stall Robyn getting pregnant.

The whole sister wives thing just looks like a constant power struggle, with each unsuccessfully trying to look like they aren’t vying for power. They absolutely all are.

Points I would of had to make.

1. Explain the resources you claim Christine used you for.(Proof is essential) 2.explain how Christine treated Robyn like dirt.(Proof 100 percent required) 3.robyn why are you so "devastated"and "sorry to see Christine go,less than ten minutes back,you were calling her a liar. 4.accountability,from the man who made it a point to sherk accountability,how does that work

Whilst kody visits Jenelle and Savannah at the new rental,kody asks Savannah what she likes about the new home,and Savannah mentioned liking the new sink,which was deeper and less shallow.

Meri and Kody drive their 12 yr old dog back to Utah to bury him before he’s even deceased.

Wow. I feel like they did this for a tv episode. It felt so manufactured to me.

She sobs because she can’t make a decision on whether to pursue IVF, just can’t make that decision… it’s soooo hard.

But putting down her old devoted family friend because he has some incontinence issues…..meh.

I’ve been back and forth about Meri until now, but this episode was so revealing for me. She has expensive tastes, and that’s fine. But some of these wants of hers could wait until later. All this drama of hers is just plain selfishness.

This is a great reference for birthdays, marriages, etc.
