Recognizing the fact that this might not be the right subreddit for this. I'm from a Mage: The Awakening play by post Server. We kind of just had a well known, and well liked player disappear from our discord by the above name. They'd gone through and deleted every comment about themselves, of their own making, and even gone through PMs too.
We're really just reaching out, making sure they are alright. Tarry, if you can please reach out here.
Edit: This is also a hope to throw a lifeline out for him to find in the event that this is something like hacking. We're worried about you bud, hope to hear from you.

So, i'm a huge fan of sitcoms and recently, I was struck by an idea to run an RPG in a mundane setting. Picture this: an RPG where the players manage a pizzeria that's secretly controlled by the Mafia and used for money laundering. Then, weird and unexpected things start happening, accompanied by comical secondary characters, and so on. I'm planning to run this with my group of 5 friends and am considering a long campaign (envisioning it as if the sitcom had multiple seasons).
My question is: I was thinking of using GURPS because, well, you can do anything with GURPS, but I'm not entirely sure if it's the best system for this concept. Has anyone played in a similar way before, or do you have system recommendations for such a campaign?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
