Someone said my tone is too "heavy", like unpleasant. I posted yesterday asking how to reduce the harshness on the belting.. This is what I was talking about. How can I get a less screechy high chest?

Podcasting with your significant other

scottsigler
commented

I've been live-streaming with my wife since the Pandemic hit, as a way to be there for my my more isolated fans (I'm a horror author). In the five years since we started, we shifted to me reading new fiction for 30 minutes, then the two of us chit-chatting with the fanbase for another 30. We now rip the audio to make episodes for two podcasts, Scott Sigler Slices, which is the fiction read, and Deep Cuts, where we talk about things and stuff in the world of writing and content creation.

We love doing it together. We sit side-by-side and revel in each other's company. It's still a lot of work, but it's one of the highlights of our week.

Doing well, thanks! I've bit off more than I can chew deadline wise and trying to right the ship, but other than that, no complaints.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it, AND that it scared you. I've actually got email from several farmers -- the cow scenes really got to them, as they work with the animals on the daily. A very cool compliment for a horror writer.

Bass here: Sandberg. And I haven’t bought a Kiesel in awhile but they make awesome stuff, customized from a fixed (but large) set of options.

Seriously what is going on w UAD support???

scottsigler
commented

The response time has slowed, but other than that support is answering my questions more efficiently than they used to. As in, the answers to my questions are usually right the first time. That wasn't my experience in the past 3-4 years. It can take 3-4 days to get a response, though, which I'm not thrilled with.
