We need the points

We need a performance

We need revenge

Let’s smash the yam yams, COYG.

[–]Chuggs_101 14 points15 points  (14 children)

Yam yams?

[–]CHINESE_HOTTIE 91 points92 points  (12 children)

The yams is the power that be

[–][deleted] 51 points52 points  (11 children)

You can smell it when I'm walking down the street

[–]tenflareCan you dig it... Saka???? 47 points48 points  (10 children)

Oh yes we can! Oh yes we can!

[–]IronKnuckles64 24 points25 points  (9 children)

I can dig rapping

[–]sherry-monoclesSaka 26 points27 points  (8 children)

But a rapper with a ghostwriter? what the hell happened?

[–]Willem_Bracquene 25 points26 points  (7 children)

Oh no!

[–]CocoAfcTomiyasu 12 points13 points  (5 children)

I swore I wouldnt tell!

[–]the100andonly 15 points16 points  (4 children)

But most of y'all sharing bars like you got the bottom bunk of a two man cell

[–]gibbs2724Thank you very much 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swore I wouldn't tell

[–]Phenylketonuria 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a reference to the Black Country, the area of the Midlands Wolverhampton is in. People say yam there instead of I am I believe.

[–]KiioppWout Weghorst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted the points, I needed the miles and I could really use the trip.

[–]sixteenlionsSaka 105 points106 points  (8 children)

With not much else happening in lockdown I feel so much more emotionally invested in the Arsenal games - let’s get it

[–]Lost_Bid4099 60 points61 points  (6 children)

Playing a dangerous game there my man

[–]sixteenlionsSaka 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Don’t I know it, during the bad run earlier this season I told my partner I was excited for the game that evening and she replied “are you sure that’s a good idea” haha

[–]BoomGiroud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol had the exact same experience. Especially since watching a full match at the time would send me straight into depression mode for a day at least.

[–]hot4hotz 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Fuck it - investing my life savings into $ARS stocks!!!

[–]rd201290Cazorla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we like this stock

[–]sixteenlionsSaka 0 points1 point  (1 child)

a dangerous game indeed...

[–]Lost_Bid4099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did warn you! From starting brilliantly, to being desperately unlucky, to being impossibly unlucky, to being utterly mental in the space of 70 minutes. I can’t even

[–]ekii90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's fucking gooooo

[–]xCooomØdegaard 66 points67 points  (8 children)

Dying to see Odegaard play just for my own personal excitement, a game we should win and could really see us stake a claim for top 4 if we keep this run going through what looked like a very tough run of fixtures.

Expect Pepe to start again, would also love to see him bag a goal for all his efforts the last couple weeks.

COYG

[–]Manchestermma 7 points8 points  (7 children)

Top 4 is a pipedream but EL places are within reach if we keep this run going.

[–][deleted]  (6 children)

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

At the moment we are 3 games away from top 4 and we've to play most of the teams above us still and they all seem very capable of dropping points. I don't think top 4 is such a far fetched goal. The 2012/13 year was far more insurmountable odds and we pull it off!

[–]YouCouldBeBetterThank you very much 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If every team above us drops points and doesn't match our form. Just unlikely that all the teams above is drop so many points, while we do not drop any.

    [–]lastjedi23Ian Wright 51 points52 points  (4 children)

The time is ripe for Pepe to kick into form right now. Exactly even we need him. Let's gooooo coyg

    [–]verde622 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I think the narrative around Pepe starts to change if he has another good game

    [–]KiioppWout Weghorst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Don’t think it’ll change until he’s worth 72 million

    [–]kiriha-altJesus 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Except Wolves will play exactly the way it doesn't suit him. He'll have a lot of the ball and no space as they park the bus. Hopefully he stillndoes well.

    [–]Madlib82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Ødegaard to Pepe!!

    [–][deleted]  (1 child)

    [removed]

      [–]AlexTheRockstarCharlie George 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they're going to put 10 men behind the ball and play over the top, it will be very hard to break that bus down. I think this is a perfect match for Ode to shine.

      [–]Communism-didnt-fall 48 points49 points  (8 children)

Think it’ll need to be a brave line up from Arteta tonight if he wants to break wolves down. They sit with 9 men behind the ball and ping it to Adama first chance they get on the break. Not to worried about the defence but the attack will struggle tonight

      [–]WhenInDoubt-jump 37 points38 points  (7 children)

Perfect game to go for that Partey/Odegaard/ESR triangle.

      [–]cocoabutterprince 9 points10 points  (3 children)

We’ll get killed in the midfield if we play that

      [–]WhenInDoubt-jump 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Wolves are in terrible form and will set up very defensively. They won't be trying to dominate midfield.

      [–]serminole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wolves play a 2 man midfield with one being Neves who literally never gets into attacking the box. We would have numbers and have a fairly simple time tracking their midfield. If there is a game for it, it's this one.

      [–]AmNotACactusSol Campbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      lol against Wolves?

[–]NUPreMedMajorGabriel is my father 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Why the fuck would you drop xhaka when he’s been one of our best players? Lmao... Hed also one of the only people in the team who has been making passes that cut through the defense. I swear you people....

      [–]AmNotACactusSol Campbell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this sub is going to have a fucking breakdown when we finally get rid of Xhaka with half trying to build a goddamned statue.

      [–]LilWickJohn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

      Please win

      PLEASE

      [–]Fagetr0n#OneArseneWenger 16 points17 points  (6 children)

Has anyone noticed that since our poor run of form, we've barely seen aerial crosses?

Arteta seems to have changed tack to more cutbacks and low crosses hammered across the box which has been, admittedly, a lot more enjoyable to watch!

      [–]sherry-monoclesSaka 9 points10 points  (1 child)

No more cross and inshallah. I have noticed this too.

      [–]Spiced_lettucethe smit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’ve realised we don’t exactly have giroud on our team anymore

      [–]Lost_Bid4099 6 points7 points  (2 children)

The emergence of ESR has given us more options centrally so we don’t need to rely on crossing so much, think it’s as simple as that.

      [–]jackknight18Thierry Henry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention Partey's influence. Someone who occupies the centre and actually passes forward. Such a breath of fresh air.

      [–]motownphilly1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. ESR gives us more passing options up the pitch and in central areas, Laca has more people to link with so that we can hold possession once we enter the final third, and partey can break lines a bit more and get the ball up the pitch quicker. Means Xhaka also can play forward more.

      [–]BigMcMackRegista Willian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Kolasinac wet dream

      [–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Literally can’t predict the lineup today. Gabriel could start, so could Ødegaard, Martinelli, Saka, Aubameyang, ESR (obviously not all of them).

      [–]ManiacalComet40 7 points8 points  (5 children)

Very interested to see who’s healthy. Don’t want to push anyone before the Benfica match. That should be our focus.

      [–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (4 children)

I’m happy focusing on the league tbh.

      [–]ManiacalComet40 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Depends on our goals. Our chances of willing the EL are much, much higher than our chances of getting top-4. Top 6-7 is achievable, though, if we push for it.

      [–]Locogooner 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I would say our chances our equal. There are much better teams than us in the EL.

      [–]ManiacalComet40 2 points3 points  (1 child)

At least in the EL, we don’t have to try to catch a better team from behind, as we do in the PL. I don’t think there are any teams in the EL we can’t beat across two legs. There are plenty of teams in the PL that I don’t think we can outpace across 17 games, even if we are more than capable of beating them head to head.

      [–]HopefulGuy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling a lot of ties will be one leg at a neutral ground. The travel situation is too difficult at the moment.

      [–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All about how we attack their wingbacks who are pretty suspect defensively.

And how we deal with podence and neto on the break.

[–]HuhwtfblehGOATNelli Cult Member 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Losing this would not be ideal.

      Winning this would be ideal.

      [–]VeryLongSurnameIan Wright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      I really like this take

      [–]Hanboy4 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I have a strange feeling Ødegaard gets the start. COYG

      [–]eagleslandingZinchenko 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I think it would make a ton of sense. Lots of overuse injuries stacking up, ESR had a history of injury and hasn’t played this much football ever before, and we bought MØ to be the rotational option. Make a lot of sense to start him and give him sixty minutes. If we’re still trying to break through, put on ESR; if we have it comfortably in hand, put on Mo for MØ to see it out

      [–]Hanboy4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. Thats why the Øde signing made so muc sense because it gives us the ability to play it a tad conservative with ESR

      [–]robustostrich 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We need to try and score early because Wolves are going to make this the most boring 90 minutes of football.

      [–]okcomput3rup the arse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pepe needs a goal today want to see this run continue. Come on lad let's have it!!!!

[–]KolosalsnatchPut the word out there that we back up 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think ESR needs to be rested, he looked cooked on Saturday.

      [–]Midnight_Maverick 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Wolves are in a bad way at the moment, hope it doesn't come together for them against us today.

      [–]Manchestermma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the fact we are away might benefit us, since away from home Wolves have recently looked a lot more stubborn and hard to break down. Poor form hopefully they want to play football a touch more.

      [–]EdwardSandwichHandsHudson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

mikel, i’ve played a lot of fifa. an odegaard, ESR, partey midfield will annihilate their low block i can confirm it man

      [–]basedsims 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saka playing would be massive. Absolutely key to breaking down these teams

      [–]MotherGooseBroFloridian Gooner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Saka kit has been on since I woke up. I captained him in FPL. It’s a beautiful morning in Lakeland, Fl. Come On You Gunners.

      [–]mcives 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pre-COVID I hated midweek games because I could never watch at work in the US. Now they’re the highlight of my monotonous work week. COYG!

haha, absolute slut. now that's the first time I hear someone describe a player like that.

          [–]tms12345Dennis Bergkamp 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I hadn't been paying attention but Wolves have only won 1 out of their 11 in the prem since they beat us at the end of November. Anyone have any insight on why they went to shit?

Jimenez to Wolves, Kane to Spurs, and Palace to Zaha. The three cases of greatest team dependence on a single player. Wilson is rapidly becoming like that for Newcastle too.

            [–]AlGunner 5 points6 points  (3 children)

I'll be disappointed with any less than a win by at least 2 with us playing some good attacking football.

            [–]RianKradSaka 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Wolves defend with 9 men behind the ball man. It’s gonna be really tough. Harder than Palace where he drew 0-0 at home.

            [–]AlGunner 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I wrote my comment on the back of reading Arteta said we can mount a top 4 challenge this season and its too early to write us off doing that. If we can mount a top 4 challenge we have to be beating the likes of Wolves.

            [–]RianKradSaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ok then yea that’s a 100% true.

            [–]suparteta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fucking hate wolves games. So boring.

            [–]vidul7498 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow our bench actually looks decent for once

            [–]ultraleft68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Willian is subbed in again, before Martinelli, Auba and Odegaard, I’m gonna scream.

            [–]GeraldJimes_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last season we beat Wolves 2-0 comfortably and I got excited because I felt Mikel had really arrived and we were just solidly outclassing a good team.

Earlier this season it was the game that really made me start to think we were regressing dangerously.

Hoping tonight is a nice positive continuation of our up trend and much closer to that first Wolves game than the second.

            [–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an awful lineup. Good list of subs when we need them.

            [–]22goblinsZinchenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to see Auba make the bench, I dig giving Pepe another start given his recent form and I like the flexibility of bringing PE on as a sub for either him or Laca. Hope we get to see more of Ødergaard too, at least 25 minutes or so to get ESR more rest

            [–]MasonatiArsenalien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this lineup today. Hopefully Auba and Odegaard come on to feast on some cheeks and finish the job.

            [–]Kevin_De_Willian 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Can see a 0-0 tbh. Watched Wolves against Chelsea and all they did was defend with 9 men behind the ball.

            [–]Saaheb09GASPARRRR 4 points5 points  (2 children)

We need ødegaard, saka and martinelli vs these low block teams.

            [–]Nutella_spread-it 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lacazette would be very important aswell.

            [–]TrailerParkBoy2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

            Martinelli needs a goal, bad.

            [–]thefrenchduke 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I’m so excited to see this team kick on now we’ve dealt with the bloated squad. Might be tough without a LB (Cedric vs Adama definitely a bit scary), but whatever - I’m hopeful.

            [–]F0rsythianKT Number 3 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Adama traore is a dribble merchant with little to no end product. He's scored 5 league goals in 123 league games

            [–]thefrenchduke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

            But muscles! Baby oil!

Haha you are definitely right - though he did have a stint last season where his crossing was decent.

            [–]wednesdayware 0 points1 point  (2 children)

More worried about him getting the ball in to our box and laying it off.

            [–]Manchestermma 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He has 12 assists in his PL career, I am not too worried about Adama. Just hyped up by the media for some reason.

            [–]Steven_hmj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pepe has looked good last few games, could see him continue his monentum and get a cheeky wee goal/winner.

            [–]avijitarya64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waiting for Robbo to demolish the brick shithouse today.

            [–]jmcmizzleSaka 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I absolutely hate playing Wolves. They just nullify teams completely. They play how Emery wished we could.

Think we absolutely need Saka and Auba today, otherwise probably going to be another 0-0.

            [–]pm_me_ur_breakfast1 11 points12 points  (2 children)

They play how Emery wished we could.

Weird comment, Emery wasn't a defensive manager.

            [–]jmcmizzleSaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wanted to be here for sure. Not purely defensive but nullifying teams for sure.

            [–]tms12345Dennis Bergkamp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They're not saying defensive, just pragmatic. Or in Emerys case a bit cowardly too

            [–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just need to take things game by game and keep winning

yeah. they are in shit form. no excuses if we drop points today.

we can drop to 11th if we fail to win but southampton and leeds win their next games.

pretty much most of our upcoming games are must wins if we want top 8 let alone top 6

            [–]ShiroiMaouDennis Bergkamp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Saka's back, things are looking up! They don't have Jimenez back yet, so they lack some offence strength, also they're in a proper bad form, so we won't get any better chance of defeating them than now! COYG

            [–]Nutella_spread-it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hopefully we can continue to play well and get another 3 points

            [–]marylandkid44 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I think Arteta should return to playing Pepe on the left. I personally saw a better partnership with Cedric and I didn’t understand the reversal to play him on the right against United

            [–]TomJHIgginsSaka 5 points6 points  (1 child)

He was probably playing on the right because Martinelli is a lot better on the left than the right

            [–]marylandkid44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think Martinelli is better through the middle as a CF. Regardless, Arteta took Martinelli off for Willian for tactics but we still had two right-footed players coming down the left in the second half

            [–]ArsenalGuner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could see another draw coming, it depends on how we move the ball, if it's moving slowly forget the 3 points then... they could counter us and win the game.

            [–]bangtobang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really want to see odegaard starting today. Can't wait!

            [–]sweatygrandad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

            Big game from Pépé inbound?

            An Ødegaard start?

            A return from Gabriel?

Or am I just getting my hopes up? COYG!!

            [–]serminole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be interesting with the big game last weekend how we rotate. A lot of players are in good form so will be harsh to sit them, but also rotation is important when we have 3 games in a week. Tahe game at Villa is a potential 6 pointer for a European spot with their games in hand.

In defense, I think the fullbacks are set due to injuries and general lack of depth. Holding probably stays in as CBs generally don't rotate a ton. At LCB Gabriel might be the better option vs Adama just for his athleticism. But, that's harsh on Luiz who is coming off a great game.

In the midfield Xhaka is in good form and if anyone can play every game it's him, but Wolves will just sit back and counter so maybe Ødegaard/ESR makes sense to both break down their low block and again add athleticism to track back vs their counters. I also wouldn't rule out resting Partey given his injury woes so far, which changes that entire midfield shape.

In attack, I'm not sure if Lacazette will be ready to go but if not it'll be interesting if it's the obvious Nketiah replacement or Auba/Martinelli getting a shot in the middle. On the wings Pepe is in good form and Saka is back so that seems like the obvious pairing but with our depth there, especially with Nelson staying and Willian showing signs of life, rotation makes a lot of sense.

TL;DR, lots of choices for Arteta.

            [–]dhiaizkThierry Henry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully Ø replaces Saka around 60/70 minutes so that Saka doesn’t play a full 90 mins after coming back from injury

Why has Gabriel lost his place? Still recovering? Thought he was our best defender before he got covid

            [–]MFK00Tierney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he played after coming back from covid he looked pretty rusty, I imagine if all goes well he should get some time today to reintegrate

Glad Laca is doing well after Saturday. Auba back on the bench too. Let’s go get 3 points today boys!

            [–]BanMutsang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone know when Tierney is gonna be back?😞

            [–]The_Wolves10 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Anybody else eager to see a midfield 3 with Ceballos, Odegaard & Partey?

I know that Smith Rowe & Xhaka deserve and will start this game, but I’m only just curious to see that La Liga Midfield in action, it would be an interesting sight.

            [–]el-fenomeno09Dennis Bergkamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some part of me feels like we will never see dani-partey pivot

            [–]billym32Santi Cazorla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's up with Tierney? When will he be fit?

            [–]R_SenuulefSEERay Parlour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm expecting another Rob Holding masterclass today.

Glad to see the haters are starting to stfu.

            What a player he is!

            [–]arsenaloflies 4 points5 points  (1 child)

A lot of people in here wanting to drop Xhaka despite the fact that he's been our best midfielder this season, has made considerable progressive passes, and has actually created several chances in the last few games.

Partey was wank against United and doesn't look 100% match fit either. We can ill afford to gamble on team selection at the moment. We need to play our best 11 available, and unfortunately for those of you who have an agenda, Xhaka is in that team.

            [–]Bobson567Party at my place when Partey _ _ _ _ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i agree i would want to start xhaka over elneny or ceballos

            [–]TrailerParkBoy2 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have no idea how this game will play out. W, L or draw, nothing would surprise me.

            [–]BKAFC -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Yep, we're not having such a long run of good form that you can safely expect a win.

We're also not in a run of bad form such that a loss is pessimistically expected.

At the moment we are in a limbo like state, could be a brilliant attacking win, could be a disappointing draw, might even be a god forsaken loss.

Its unpredictable and kind of exciting to be honest!

            [–]TrailerParkBoy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

            [–]SplitAPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I wouldn’t give for a day where Xhaka is no longer a starter. If he’s looked competent beside Partey the last few games just imagine how great a good midfielder would look.

            [–]Neeq17 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Am i the only one who would like to see Chambers play alongside Partey in the DM role for once? Pretty interesting to see how he would do there

This might be the first game(in all competitions) that I miss this season and it fucking sucks.

            Why?

I am meeting a friend for his birthday and he told me to come at exactly 18pm when the game is starting lol.

            [–]Saaheb09GASPARRRR 5 points6 points  (2 children)

            Can he play left back?

            [–]Vrty33The Gabriel 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Lol he actually did play left back back when we used to play and train.

            [–]Saaheb09GASPARRRR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayyyy, what a guess! Ask him to be on the bench for arsenal. Best birthday gift ever!

Imagine choosing your friend on their birthday over the Arsenal game. Smh fake fan!

Lol mate are you actually serious? How about you don't speak before knowing any facts? I am meeting him at his place to give him the gift and then him, my girlfriend and I are going for a walk to talk since we haven't met in a month. I'll be wearing a mask at all times same as others and I got the first shot of vaccine just last week. I am taking care of myself, you look after yourself bud and mind your own business. (if you were actually serious with that straight up rude comment)

            [–]FlavioB19Don't Underwonga the Lokonga -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

It is my business that you're breaking rules and risking lives of me and my family.

            [–]Vrty33The Gabriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe I actually just tried explaining myself to a random asshole on the internet.

In my country, I am not breaking any rules and I am following all the measures and taking care of myself and my close ones. You go ahead and have a good one mate, ok? It’s definitely none of your business especially when you know ZERO facts and are making a serious assumption on one bloody sentance.

I want a front 4 of Ode, Martinelli, Pepe and ESR.

ESR 10, Martinelli ST, Pepe Left and Ode Right.

            Can swap martinelli for lac

Also, no win tonight and we have to focus solely on the EL to get any sort of European football

            [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Think double 8 ESR odegaard would work wonders here. Not only do they absolutely park the bus, but we have to see how it works. Could be very effective.

            [–]appletesla4728Arteta OUT 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Highly doubt Arteta will tinker with the system in such a crucial stage

            [–]JimBoonie69 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Martinelli striker? Where u living bud? None of strikers have any grit or strength except laca. What will gabby do there? run around and get pushed by big center backs. No way for me. Martinellj first gotta stay fit, just like partey. Msybe score a goal or two as well

            [–]appletesla4728Arteta OUT 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Martinelli can press a lot better than Lacazette.

            [–]Britton120Saka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't expect Odegaard to start today, but hopefully we see more of him in the second half and in anticipation for his first start this weekend.

With Wolves we could be free to have ESR and Odegaard in the midfield together, and it would help us break them down by offering both outside and inside creation potential.

              odegaard vs Villa then 😍

              [–]ultraleft68 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why doesn’t Odegaard start? Is Arteta unaware of how good he actually is? We need him. Pepe is too uneven. And Auba should start too.

              [–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

immediately downvoting anyone who suggests odegaard might not start

              [–][deleted] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If we play Partey and Xhaka in midfield then we’re playing for a draw. Wolves are always very defensive but at the moment their form is awful. If we don’t play attacking football we won’t break them down. Partey - Ceballos with ESR/Ødegaard in front would be attacking enough imo.

              [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things will be looking bright if we can win this.

put 5 on arsenal win, arsenal most corners and wolves most cards at 16/1 for a little extra fun this afternoon, COYG!

Just had a look at the form chart and there is only 2 teams in better form than us in the last 5 - City and West Ham. I hope Arsenal can keep it going. It will be a very hard game because Wolves have dropped off in the last few games and are lower in the table than their quality and will be looking for that win to turn things back around, but we really need to win this kind of game if we are serious about solidifying our spot in the upper end of the table. If we lose games like this, we'll finish mid table.

Can Odegaard play as a CM paired up with Partey or does he only do well as CAM/RM?

                [–]etobs13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

today with a win we could temporarily move up to 6th. Even if we drop down after tomorrow i think its important to the mentality of the team that they see how close it is to reach top 4. They would only be 1 point behind 5th with spurs and chelsea facing off against eachother

In my mind this is a big game psychologically. It was our loss to wolves earlier in the season that really set us into the downward spiral
