I am 33/f and I'm struggling to style flattering outfits with my large belly :(
For most of my life, I was very thin and lean. After several extremely stressful and traumatic life events, I am now at least 30lbs overweight, and ALL of the weight is in my stomach. I have no idea how to dress for my current body shape, and could really use some advice.
To help illustrate my current size and shape:
I am 5'4" and about 160lbs. I have a small bust, somewhat wide hips, and a stomach that literally looks like I'm smuggling a pool noodle wrapped around my waist. My stomach sticks out almost like a "shelf" about two inches further than the largest part of my bust.
I realize that ultimately, the answer is to lose weight - which I'm currently working on. But in the meantime, I still need to dress professionally for work, and flatteringly for social events.
Does anyone have any advice for someone my size/shape?
Tldr: I am 5'4" and about 160lbs. I have a small bust, slightly above average hip width, and a very prominent 'spare tire' around my waist at the belly button. How do I dress in the most flattering way possible for my current shape?
