Let me explain. I saw a new NP today and she told me she thinks I have a yeast infection. She wanted to prescribe Diflucan. I told her that my internist has refused to prescribe it to me before because I'm taking Geodon. The NP says that if there is an interaction, it will pop up in her system and she won't prescribe it. Well, she prescribed it anyway, so I start looking it up and the interaction puts me at increased risk of torsades de pointes. Does she know something I don't? Is the risk just super low? Is the risk even worth taking for a yeast infection I didn't even know I had? What do I do?
EDIT: Called a pharmacist and they gave the go ahead.
