Peter Albrechtsen - Sound Designer
Peter is an award winning Danish sound designer, mixer and music supervisor working on both feature films and documentaries. We Are As Gods is Peter’s third feature length collaboration with David Alvarado and Jason Sussberg.
Kate McLean - Producer
Kate is a San Francisco filmmaker who produced True Conviction (2017), which won the special jury prize at the Tribeca Film Festival and will be broadcast on the PBS series Independent Lens this year. She is also the producer of Jason Sussberg and David Alvarado’s films Bill Nye: Science Guy (2017, SXSW premiere, POV broadcast), and The Immortalists (2014, SXSW premiere).
Annukka Lilja - Editor
Annukka is a Finnish born, New York based film editor. Lilja’s recent work as editor includes Melissa Haizlip and Sam Pollard’s Mr. SOUL! (2018, Tribeca premiere), and David Alvarado and Jason Sussberg’s documentary Bill Nye: Science Guy (2017, SXSW premiere).
Ben Sozanski - Editor
Ben won an Emmy and an American Cinema Editor’s Award for his work on the Oscar-winning film O.J. Made in America. He edited Before the Flood, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and Rolling Stone: Stories from the Edge, which premiered on HBO in 2017. More recent work includes The Family for Netflix, and The Last Dance, a Disney/Netflix coproduction.
Jamie Meltzer - Producer
Jamie’s feature documentary films have been broadcast nationally on PBS and have screened at numerous film festivals worldwide. His documentary (as director/producer) True Conviction (2018), broadcast on Independent Lens, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was awarded a Special Jury Mention in the Best Documentary Category. Jamie has served as Executive Producer or Consulting Producer on Midnight Family (2019, Sundance Film Festival), Bill Nye: Science Guy (2017, POV), The Providers (2019, Independent Lens), Attla (2019, Independent Lens), among others.
Shannon breen - Assistant Editor
Shannon is a San Francisco based editor focused on sharing authentic, human-driven stories centered around natural and social sciences, with the intersection between human rights and nature. After graduating from the Art Institute of Portland, she first assisted edited, SEED: The Untold Story (2016, Emmy nominated).
