[Smith] This Celtics core has been together for about six seasons. They've had a ton of success, but never gotten over that hump. If they can't pull off a rally like last season, you have to consider major changes. That's where "past their expiration date" comes from by TacoooJay in nba

Agree with you As long as the owners are willing to pay the tax to keep this core together I think they should continue to do so. If the right trade shows up then you go for it. Otherwise why mess with a team that is a consistent ECF/Finals team.

1.5b loss was reported in Nov. It went from 100-86 and bounced back after chapek got ousted. While Disney plus has hardly been a success it’s not what’s holding the stock back.

Disney stock was up 2% today. I don’t think weekend was considered a failure compared to expectations.

Yeah a local kid who got to play for his hometown team. He used to come back to Westwood when he was on the lakers which was a little creepy I guess.

[Highlight] James Harden hits the game winner for the Sixers by Texan2993 in rockets

Nah. This sub giving me whiplash with the takes on Harden.

I hope you are right. I still think harden is the right move for them. Booker seems to have reached the next level having CP3 there…. On second thoughts hopefully harden has settled down a little from his partying.

Perhaps you are right. But you do need superstars in the NBA to compete for a championship and I haven’t seen anything from the current core to suggest they are of that caliber. Perhaps a guy like sengun will grow into that. I hope so.

Back to harden though. Perhaps Harden isn’t the answer. But given the cap space and the current available players I think it’s the direction that the rockets will go in.

Someone will. Good amount of teams with space. And the best free agents this year are Kyrie and Harden. The other guys like Draymond/Khris Middleton are more useful if you already have a contending team.

Prob close to play in at least. To be honest unlike most in this sub I am not enamored by many of the current players on the team. They have the cap space this year/they have assets for trades. I think they should try and do something.

Rockets are pretty much an afterthought in the city right now. Houston has always been less passionate than other fan bases. Blame it on the transplant community. Blame it on the large number of corporate’s at the games. The last two years have been especially bad though. Almost apathy.

So Tillman needs to shake it up. Otherwise the rockets will fall further behind the Astros and Texans.

The cure for high prices is …. High prices. It would be painful though. A large part of the economic growth over the last decade in the US is due to the cheap energy that we have had
