I recently broke a molar clean off, just leaving the root in my gum and the nerve exposed. Because I love in the UK it's really hard to find a NHS dentist that won't charge 300 quid for a tooth extraction. The pain was immensely bad, to the point where I was tempted to go to a and e.
Luckily I also have a messed up lumbar/back, so get prescribed dihydrocodeine, naproxen, and recently pregabalin. Opioids and anti inflammatories haven't been touching it, even at silly doses.
Started pregabalin this morning and with an hour and a half my tooth pain disappeared for the first time on 4 days.
Not much point to my post other than expressing my joy in this nerve pain killer.
And I'm wondering if anyone's ever been prescribed pregabalin by a dentist? In the UK I don't think they can, but can give mild opioids like codeine. So maybe they can?
Pregabalin has been a good drug for me, but I have gained about 20 pounds and tonight hubby told me that he's not attracted to me anymore because of the weight gain. He's literally kicking me while I'm down. I am devastated. I don't even know what to do. I was not heavy whatsoever to begin with, now I'm a little bit chubby. I hope he never gets sick and needs someone by his side. He could at least offer to exercise with me or help me in any way. I would gladly accept! I didn't know he felt like this. I guess "in sickness and in health" was not a vow he really meant. 🥲🥲🥲
