1a. Keep submissions related to DDLC and Team Salvato projects. The post must be related beyond the title.
1b. Common posts, low-quality posts, or an excessive amount of posts by the same user will be removed. Roleplay accounts are under additional restrictions on their activity in /r/DDLC.
1c. Do not submit image based posts on No-Pics Tuesday or otherwise violate the NPT posting restrictions.
1d. Image posts should be posted as link submissions rather than as links within text submissions. Always flair your posts. To flair posts on mobile, post a comment in the format flair: <flair name, without spaces and all lower-case>, for example flair: ocfanart. Tag NSFW posts and spoilers for DDLC or other forms of media appropriately.
2a. Follow reddiquette. Do not engage in personal attacks or use offensive language. This extends to DMs between r/DDLC users should the mod team be made aware of them.
2b. Don't attack people's opinions without giving something for them to argue against.
2c. Do not spoil game mods or other media for others.
2d. Do not make contentious content for the sake of being contentious.
2e. Overly political or partisan posts are not allowed.
3a. All non-original submissions using fanart or cosplays must attribute the artist in the title and provide a direct link to the source page in a top-level comment. This rule extends to traced or edited images or memes that use someone else's work. DDLC game mods are only an acceptable source if the art was made specifically for the mod, and should credit the artist if possible.
3b. Flair edits as "Edited Media." Non-DDLC art must have substantial edits made to it.
3c. Artwork by artists who have posted to r/DDLC in the past 3 months may not be posted by other users without express permission by the artist. This includes non-meme edits.
3d. Commissioned fanart may only be posted by the artist or the commissioner unless one week has passed since the art was released or the poster has explicit permission from the commissioner.
3e. Unauthorized submissions of work by artists who require permission to post their content on other platforms will be removed.
4a. Do not post pirated content.
4b. Do not post content that violates the DDLC IP Guidelines.
4c. Do not rehost other people's videos.
4d. Respect others' intellectual property.
5. No content of a sexually explicit nature, pornographic intent, overly fetishistic nature, or including excessive gore.
6a. Do not repost content that has been posted within the last three months, or that is in the top 100 posts of all time and complies with the current iteration of the rules.
6b. Reposts must be of equal or better quality to the original post.
6c. You may only repost the same submission once.
6d. Artists are permitted to repost their own content if they've never posted it before themselves.
7a. Do not make posts advertising your community without permission from the moderation team.
7b. Do not self-promote excessively.
7c. Only the first episode of a Let's Play series or the playlist of a completed series may be posted. Individual episodes beyond the first may not be posted.
8. Posts about sensitive topics such as suicidal thoughts, self harm issues etc. must be tagged with an appropriate trigger warning, and triggering language must not be used in the title. Users in particularly dangerous or critical situations may still be redirected to other, more appropriate places should the moderators decide it to be the safest option for all.
9a. Users who consistently make posts or comments that borderline but not definitively break the rules may face punitive action even if no single post clearly violates the rules, provided they have already been warned about this.
Posts which have the primary intent of attacking a moderator or attacking or celebrating a punitive action (eg removing a post or banning a user) are prohibited as these concerns are best addressed through modmail or by messaging a member of the moderation team. Posts discussing subreddit rules and policies are allowed and may cite prior mod action related to the rule so long as the prior action is not the specific focus of the post.
