When you say can’t say it, do you mean like can’t pronounce or you’re not supposed to say it? Just curious cause I’m not really familiar with Hebrew!

Piggybacking to say this is true, but I do agree it is amazing. I’ve been on it for 3 months now and while that initial feeling does fade, it still works wonders!

I cannot tell if these are seedlings I forgot about or weeds. Help please?

After pulling several hundred square feet of lambs quarter recently, I got curious and read up on it. One hectare can produce 50,000,000 seeds.

If you were going to switch OUT of an environmental career, what would you switch to?

I stuck with it but I landed a job with my state government and my life got 100x better. Love my job now! Best of luck to your partner!

ETA: I peaked at your posts and saw the most recent one on this same sub. Just wanna say that my first few years in consulting were hell and I figured out quickly that it definitely was not for me. Switching to the public sector helped me realize that I did in fact choose the right career field, just not the right position. Might not be the same for everyone, but there are a lot of options out there. I hope she finds something that fits her well!

Looking for advice on what kind of contractor I need for big outdoor project!
REQUEST

My house sits on a kind of lot-and-a-half. The previous homeowners "reclaimed" the alley that used to run next to the property from the city, and the majority of this land is fenced in my back/side yard. It is currently a pea gravel driveway that I despise with my whole being, and I want to remove it and extend the yard. Beneath the pea gravel is asphalt, and who knows what's under that (Bricks? More gravel?). The drainage is, of course, terrible. It floods every time it rains. It's choked with weeds because it's impossible to keep up with them - the whole thing is about 1,500 square feet.

I'm capable of tracking down a few contractors for quotes on topsoil installation, but I am at a loss for what kind of contractor to look for when it comes to removing the gravel/asphalt/whatever else is underneath. I've looked up rock removal companies in Columbus and have only found one (His Workmanship, which I'm kind of turned off by because of their "rehearse this bible verse for a discount" schtick). I tried contacting Colvin Gravel Company because they seemed like they might be a good fit for the job, but they won't call me back.

All that being said, any guidance/recommended contractors for this type of job would be appreciated.

Are environmental jobs really as bad as everyone makes them out to be? Career advise for Env. Engg. grad interested in programming?

I never did, but due mostly to the fact that I was able to land a government job in my state and my overall happiness with my career skyrocketed. My pay nearly doubled, got more vacation, my coworkers are fantastic, and I actually enjoy what I’m doing. To be fair, I think in the long term the private sector pays more, but I’m just so grateful to not be hating my life any more that at least right now I don’t care lol. I think government jobs are a bit harder to get, but if you find any openings definitely try applying!

Question

I know when you right click on a swatch you can set that swatch to be the default for groups of things like standard buildings, foundations, pipes, etc. But I'm wondering if it's possible to set apply a swatch to just one specific building? For example, all power poles are white/grey, constructors are green/blue, all assemblers are purple/blue, etc.

When googling about this I found a reddit post from five years ago that allowed you to change the color of all of certain buildings at once with the color gun, but since the color gun has been removed I'm wondering if there is still the ability to do this somehow.

Two dogs found in OTE/Franklin park. Number on tag went straight to voicemail. Not chipped. Please help me find their owners!

Here are some better face pics. If anyone has a safe place that can hold onto these dogs until the owners are found, please reach out. I cannot hold these dogs due to my own pets but want them to be safe until the owner is located!

Yeah sorry for the bad photos, the black one is extremely high energy and can’t stand still. I’ll post a comment with an Imgur link with better photos.

What is something you saw/heard that you still think about to this day?

One day in college I was studying at a local library. I was sitting near the windows that looked over the main road and kind of zoning out just watching people walk on the sidewalk. I see this dude come flying down the sidewalk on his bike, he’s wearing a backpack with some long stick or pole sticking out of top of it. He zooms by and the pole hits the stop sign, and I swear on my life, he fuckin swings all the way around the stop sign post and flies off his bike. He ended up being fine, walked off with his bike in tow, but I was absolutely dying and trying so hard not to laugh too loud in the silent library lmao.

Math was definitely not my strong subject in high school and college, so sometimes I struggle a bit. But because of that when I get things all figured out it’s soooo satisfying
