(Sorry if the title bothers you, you probably don't agree but he is considered by the public that's why I put it. You can surely disagree!)

Today, 18 July 2020 it is Taemin's 27th birthday!

He debuted with SHINee in May 2008 at the age of 14.(2nd gen) He is the youngest member of the group. He is in charge of dancing, he is the main dancer (duh) and sub vocalist.

His dancing has always been good and has been improving a lot over the years. His vocals tho probably weren't the best in the beginning, but he worked hard on them and now he has almost reached main vocal level.

His vocal improvement, helped him make his solo even better. (3rd gen) He debuted as a soloist in August 2014 with the song Danger. His solos have some darkish vibes with hard choreography. He is doing well as a soloist.

11 years after his debut in SHINee, he debuted one more time, with SM's "super group" SuperM. I can proudly say that besides being one of the main dancers, he is also the 2nd main vocalist! This show his big vocal improvement since debut.

He is the senior member in SuperM. Not the maknae anymore. Besides being the senior, he isn't even the oldest member? He tries to be serious in that group, but his chaotic side is always visible.

At the moment, he was preparing for a solo comeback which was delayed, but he sadly got injured in his wrist so it got postponed again. It's okay tho. His health is no. 1 priority.

His vlogs are really fun! Watch them if you feel down. I enjoy them a lot. Here's the link to one of them where he is eating lol.

Taemin overall is an important presence in the kpop world. He is considered one of the best dancers of all time. I look forward to his solo comeback and the group's comeback!

Frankly I love Advice. I don't think I go a month without listening to it even once. Like its a freaking masterpiece to me. That piano is amazing and the song is soooo addicting. I have honestly never heard a song like that one. It's just so creative and then it has great choreography to boot. my poor heart

It's a crime it never got proper recognition and honestly it is SOTY for me all the way but I know that's never gonna happen. Lemme just share my love for it here

Edit: My favorite mv scene is at around 2:44 when he takes of his cap and there's a streak under his eye. I don't know why but I am obsessed with that look especially the whole damn outfit. I loved seeing live stages with him wearing it

This is not a first impression post as I've listened to this song many times and it is engraved inside my brain lmao. I wanted to make a post just to appreciate this iconic song for a long time and ig now is the time.

I still remember the first time watching move mv and getting goosebumps. The reason I decided to check out move was because people were hyping it up everywhere and I've heard taemin before so i knew how good he was so i did it. Just after a few seconds i knew this song was going to be a MASTERPIECE!! But didn't knew the impact was going to be so deep. Taemin imo is a really special idol. Eventhough I'm not a shawol i can still admire his talent and him in general nonstop. He has a really attractive yet emotional voice which really adds a special flavour to his songs. The set, rain, his outfit and his confident walk ESPECIALLY that WALK is so impactful. And the chorus... CULTURAL RESET!! Like that chorus with his gender fluid choreo is literal PERFECTION. And the fact that the whole backup dancers were women was something I find awesome. But my favourite part of the song has to be the bridge. The rain , his pose and the echoes of his voice just gave me chills. And guess what? The song still slaps without the mv too. Because I still felt the same things when I listened to it in sportify.

I was not there when this song was released but i KNOW that this song was loved and kpop fans at that time definitely would've known that this song is gonna be legendary and was gonna inspire other kpop artists in the future. Like it isn't even my favourite taemin song( it's want btw close second lol) but whenever I listen to this song my respect for taemin just multiplies x100

This song is one of the reason why I'm glad I gave kpop a chance. Because from where I'm from these types of concepts are basically looked down upon and the fact that these idols can express themselves in such an artistic way is really an amazing thing. Kpop might have inspiration from American pop genre but it is songs like this which leaves a mark in everyone's mind. It is just undeniably an inspiring song imo.

Every idol says they are "trying to learn english" for years on end, but he has hired an actual tutor and Key was really impressed by his improvement when he came back from the military so clearly it has been major.

He tries to speak it even when he is not perfect and his fellow members make fun of his english constantly. I know that Key doesn't mean it in a hurtful way but I always am like "damn if I had someone like Key there to laugh and make fun of every mistake I make then I would never be brave enough to try to talk." The hardest part of learning a language is having the bravery to speak in front of people even though you are going to make a lot of mistakes. The fact that he does that, even when half the time Key or somebody else is there chuckling every time he makes a mistake, makes it clear how much he wants to do this for his fans.

(Also I personally find him easier to understand than a lot of idols who some people would say speak better english because he pronounces things perfectly (probably the tutor). He doesn't always know what word to use so he has to substitute or talk around stuff, but every word he uses is very easy to understand because it's pronounced perfectly.)

All other idols I have seen just release a statement through their agency and I'm sure that this is what SM wanted Taemin to do too. Especially since Taemin just has no filter and you don't ever know what he will say. But he obviously insisted and he said that he did that because if he was a fan then he would want to hear it from him first.

He cried and was obviously depressed/sad about the situation when he made the announcement. While he didn't come right out and say "I hate this and I don't want to do this", it was pretty obvious imo. I feel like most idols pretend to be okay with it ("they will be proud to serve for their country when the time comes" yeah right) and are under pressure from Koreans to be that way but he didn't do that.

Bonus: Just watch the first couple minutes of this and tell me honestly he didn't melt your heart at least little bit.
