It takes a lot to get me to agree with Christie on anything, but he's got me here...

[–]subtxtcan 86 points87 points  (49 children)

Yeah I'm really torn here but the "Schoolyard Bully" comment is what a lot of people have said for... Well years. So... I agree with Chris Christie? What has this world come to?

[–]mitchells32225 89 points90 points  (36 children)

Christie is also one of the republican candidates who doesn't deny climate change. I'd take him or Nikki Haley over DeSantis the fascist any day.

[–]subtxtcan 89 points90 points  (16 children)

I agree but I also want to point out...

The fact that he's not denying climate change is why he's a better candidate. Not because of anything positive, but because he's NOT denying Hard Science.

The fact that this is the point politics has reached is severely fucked up.

[–]Buzz_LightYe 27 points28 points  (11 children)

What do you mean by “this is the point politics has reached”? Do you think 60 years ago when half our senators were literal segregationists was better? I mean it’s not like there was some magical time in American politics where the Republican party was all-in against climate change

[–]subtxtcan 21 points22 points  (5 children)

The fact that there are no candidates that we can reasonably say will actually be a positive influence and all we have is which one is the least insane/sociopathic/uneducated?

There is no "magical time" in politics but there have been at least some reasonable choices. Now it's a guessing game as to which one of them will fuck you the hardest.

[–]joe_mamasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reality and change are hard things for some people to grasp, yet, here we are.

[–]blackmetronome 22 points23 points  (2 children)

Christie is corrupt as fuck and is not above being petty. Would i take him over Trump and the rest of these fascist clowns? Absolutely. But he's still a shitbag.

[–]darth_snuggs 2 points3 points  (1 child)

He’s corrupt in an old-school New Jersey way though. Like a political machine mob boss corrupt, not a Fox News demagogic pundit corrupt. Both are bad but at least the former doesn’t destroy the republic quite as fast as the latter

[–]kingoffortlauderdale 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Joe Biden (D)

Chris Christie (R)

Ron DeSantis (卐)

[–]kc2syk 2 points3 points  (4 children)

NJ resident here. He used the delay and suffering of part of his constituency as political payback against his enemies. He let others go to jail for it. Do not accept him. Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Lee_lane_closure_scandal

[–]RedChairBlueChair123 6 points7 points  (10 children)

Christie himself is a huge bully. He literally chased someone down the boardwalk, never dropping his ice cream

Edit: here’s the clip. You can see he’s trying to continue the argument and his people are making his stop. https://www.tmz.com/2012/07/06/chris-christie-governor-jersey-shore-video-boardwalk-fight/

[–]Cyberia15 7 points8 points  (2 children)

He also closed down an entire beach just so his family could have the area all to themselves.

I remember feeling the state sigh in relief when he left. He's not as bad as most other repubs, but he's still an asshole who will bend the rules in his favor.

[–]Lanthemandragoran 12 points13 points  (5 children)

I hate to say it but he's the only Republican I've ever respected. I should note that it was only one single event that dictated that and I have hated him every moment before and since.

However he handled the immediate aftermath of Sandy pretty well and refused to politic during it even when pressed.

[–]annabelle411 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Christie's morally bankrupt. He COULD have actually been a quality politician had it not been for that. He's smart, can be very well spoken and understood (when not having to lie to boost Trump), and recently- straight-forward and seemingly thinking about what's best for the people and the country.

It's insane how so many politicians can have a couple moments like Sandy where it's like WHY ARENT YOU LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME?! Even Matt Gaetz has had some moments insanely level-headed insight on what would be great for the people.... and then he shrivels back down to spouting conspiracies and bigotry.

[–]Poincare_Confection 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Chris Christie is a confusing combination of down to earth and morally corrupted.

[–]Lucavious 3 points4 points  (5 children)

I’m fucking rooting for him. I want an election where I’m not voting strictly to avoid fascism.

[–]structuremonkey 2 points3 points  (4 children)

I can't do it. He could have had a spine and spoke the truth back in 2016, but no, he kissed the orange boots and made himself lose all credibility in my eyes...

Now he's on his redemption tour. It isn't going to work for me, but the bombs along the way may be intetesting...

[–]ShortWoman 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Every once in a while a politician will say something objectively true. It happens occasionally.

[–]ABigSoftE 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It'll be interesting to see how well that backbone of his holds up if the primary season goes south for him. He locked right in at Trump's side during 2016.

[–]TacticalSpackle 1 point2 points  (1 child)

We can all agree they’re two gigantic, over-inflated skin-sacks full o’ shit.

And they’ll still get people to support them.

[–]fawlty_lawgic 1 point2 points  (1 child)

His town hall on CNN last week had me agreeing with him a lot. For the first time it sounded like there was a Republican that wasn’t completely batshit insane

[–]JuiceyTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s been working on that joke for 8 years, thats the most work he’s done in his career.

[–]joe42reddit 484 points485 points  (153 children)

Both are fat ass bitches.

[–]Shirlenator 159 points160 points  (22 children)

Republicans presidential candidates have devolved into calling each other fat. How can anyone take these fucking losers seriously?

[–]urmomaisjabbathehutt 61 points62 points  (7 children)

the situation kept growing and gaining weight, n eventually they became heavy issues

fat chance this won't break the scales

[–]-mudflaps- 5 points6 points  (3 children)

I heard both these guys can't wipe their arse properly, Christie physically can't and Trump can't be bothered.

[–]farilladupree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This, coupled with their bloated, ponderous attempts at policy discussion will give the American people plenty of time to chew the fat.

[–]2xBAKEDPOTOOOOOOOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least Trump is staying away from Meatball Ron nickname!

[–]speakermic 25 points26 points  (1 child)

Did you watch the 2016 primaries? My fav moments were on penis size and speaking Spanish. Can't wait for the next clown show.

[–]CherryShort2563 39 points40 points  (36 children)

I like Christie more than RFK who's buff.

[–]GhettoChemist 67 points68 points  (7 children)

Rfk calling out pharma companies for pushing chemicals meanwhile he's loaded up on HGH

[–]sbaggers 24 points25 points  (21 children)

Clearly you're not from NJ. He was rated the most corrupt governor in the country when he was in power. More corrupt than Cuomo

[–]CherryShort2563 8 points9 points  (16 children)

I heard of that, for sure. Not trying to make a hero out of Christie, but he's got some guts to say what he says now.

[–]self-defenestrator 9 points10 points  (6 children)

He has a gut, yes

[–]Earthling1a 3 points4 points  (4 children)

A very impressive gut.

[–]Vincent__Vega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And at least it's bought and paid for, unlike anything Trump has.

[–]magicwombat5 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Darker Chris Christie is more entertaining.

[–]roofratMI 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Adonis for real? Should have used words like pig, fat ass etc. That would be more gutsy.

[–]dextter123456789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Guts, just a Grifter, Fuck Him and yes I am from Jersey,

[–]eagle_co 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Better living thru chemistry.

[–]slim_scsi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of those in the '90s and aughts who ascribed to that mantra aren't with us anymore.

[–]spicolispicoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also fat bitch asses if you as me

[–]tragic2793 54 points55 points  (18 children)

Christie better show some respect. Trump had a doctor, a great doctor, a true patriot come out and say DONALD TRUMP was the fittest president of any president, such a great president. Said he was fit unlike anybody he'd ever seen, so great, so fit.

[–]SwitchedOnNow 15 points16 points  (9 children)

People are saying that Don is the fittest president we've ever had. It's true.

[–]riko77can 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Meanwhile Trump was the fattest president since 340 lbs Taft ate his way through office.

[–]Educational_Hawk1236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only conclude the only reason he didn't get stuck in the bathtub is because he never went near one.

[–]andrefishmusic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah, have you seen the painted portraits people do of him? He's buff as hell!

[–]Past-Application-552 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s why Stormy Daniels couldn’t resist “Big Sexy”…

[–]LittleWillyWonkers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And from a McDonalds diet, there's your weight answer 'murica.

[–]Double_oh__7 118 points119 points  (28 children)

It's interesting seeing the Conservative side constantly taking personal jabs at each other and be so hateful to their own side. If this is how they treat their own, how do you think they will treat the country?

[–]Bob_Sledding 58 points59 points  (2 children)

Well, what gets me is that it's all they have. There are no talks of policies they are in favor of or what they would do differently. It's just culture war bullshit and insults.

[–]katastrophyx 5 points6 points  (1 child)

No, because talking policy gives rivals ammunition to question them about, and any policy discussion requires committing to a stance. Taking a stance makes it harder to completely flip when the right donor comes by for dinner.

For these clowns, it's better to just parrot the same base-pandering nonsense buzz words over and over and simply bully your way to a nomination.

[–]agulde28 14 points15 points  (7 children)

They’re self imploding. It’s hysterical to watch 🍿. They can’t even come together to pass any meaningful legislation for the country. It’s the most pathetic group I’ve ever seen, yet somehow they still attract clowns to their circus. Makes zero sense.

[–]gorramfrakker 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Not passing legislation is their whole point. Do nothing, watch things break, complain that nothing was done.

[–]EarthExile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We see how they treat the country. Lethal contempt.

[–]DoeCommaJohn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s all the party is now. All of them have basically the same policy, and even if somebody criticized Donald Trump’s taxation policy, nobody would care. All Republican voters care about is who will hurt their enemies the best

[–]D4RKNESSAW1LD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We already witnessed how. We can’t let it happen anymore.

[–]CreepyUncleHodor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they hate “other”. Whether it is next door or across the world

[–]darkenspirit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They instantly fall in line once the competition to be prime grifter is over though.

[–]Double_oh__7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just this week Boebert and Marjorie were cat fighting on the house floor lol.

[–]Unhappy_Earth1[S] 40 points41 points  (16 children)

From article:

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) took a shot at former President Trump on Sunday in response to his former ally’s repeated barbs about Christie’s weight.

“Oh, like he’s some Adonis?” Christie told Fox News’ Howard Kurtz on “MediaBuzz.”

“You know, look, Howie, there are tens of millions of Americans out in your audience watching right now who, like me, have struggled with their weight. I continue to struggle. I continue to try to do better. And so…what’s that got to do with my competence for office?” he asked.

“I ran the governorship of New Jersey for eight years, I think in a very energetic, successful way, responded to Hurricane Sandy, working 20 hours a day for weeks. I don’t know what his point is. You know what it is? It’s like a child. It’s a bully on the schoolyard who teases you and makes fun of you,” he continued.

The former New Jersey governor also took a jab at Trump’s weight, saying the former president was being hypocritical.

“Here’s my message to him. I don’t care what he says about me, and I don’t care what he thinks about me. And he should take a look in the mirror every once in a while. Maybe he dropped the weight thing off of his list of criticisms,” Christie told Kurtz.

After Christie launched his campaign earlier this month in a town hall in New Hampshire, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, “How many times did Chris Christie use the word SMALL? Does he have a psychological problem with SIZE? Actually, his speech was SMALL, and not very good.”

Trump is widely viewed as the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential field, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R ) generally placing second in polls.

An NBC News poll released on Sunday showed Christie placing fourth at 5 percent, behind former Vice President Pence in third at 7 percent, suggesting Christie might be picking up some traction.

[–]Vlad_the_Homeowner 34 points35 points  (13 children)

An NBC News poll released on Sunday showed Christie placing fourth at 5 percent, behind former Vice President Pence in third at 7 percent,

Can you imagine coming in behind Pence in a popularity contest. That would bruise the ego.

[–]Falcon3492 13 points14 points  (6 children)

It's still early in the race, people with come to their senses about Pence and realize he's a far, far right nut job.

[–]Vlad_the_Homeowner 8 points9 points  (5 children)

So you're saying his popularity is going to increase?

[–]Falcon3492 1 point2 points  (3 children)

No, Pence will drop in the polls.

[–]Entire_Day1312 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Those are Republican primary polls, all all the qualities you listed are a feature, not a bug, there.

[–]dr-freddy-112 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yes, but Pence isn't loud and obnoxious enough to garner any real attention.

[–]Cockblocktimus_Pryme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He doesn't speak like the best orator of our time. Many people have said. Many, many, people. The best orator, the best politician, the best American, the best hands. People are infatuated.

[–]buickmackane71360 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Pence threw his hat in the ring because nobody was buying his book. He actually showed up in the tiny Central Louisiana town of Deville on a Sunday morning hawking copies of "So Help Me God" at Philadelphia Baptist Church at both of their services. Talk about desperation.

[–]RudeRepresentative56 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Trump is widely viewed

Hehehe

[–]deez_treez 46 points47 points  (18 children)

Remember that time as Governor when he shut down a whole beach then beached himself on the sand?

[–]KinseyH 29 points30 points  (6 children)

Yep. I also remember he helped prep Trump for the 2020 debate with Biden, and he encouraged Trump to make insinuations about Biden's cognitive condition because of his stutter.

Fuck Christie and fuck the GOP. I voted for those scumbags a lot between 1984 and 2014 and I'm doing penance for the rest of my life.

[–]Draker-X 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Fuck Christie and fuck the GOP. I voted for those scumbags a lot between 1984 and 2014 and I'm doing penance for the rest of my life.

To be fair to you, at least during those years most Republicans had a platform of political positions and were willing to have fact-based debates in the "marketplace of ideas". They were misguided and bad positions, to be sure, but they had them, tried to sell them to thr American people, and at least functioned like a normal political party who tried to win elections through the popularity of their candidates and ideas.

Trump oozing his way down that escalator in 2015 changed everything.

[–]TheNotSoGreatPumpkin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gingrich primed the pump by getting Ds and Rs to despise each other, then Trump released the kraken by converting Rs to a 100% outrage and victimhood party.

[–]Klarthy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also remember he helped prep Trump for the 2020 debate with Biden, and he encouraged Trump to make insinuations about Biden's cognitive condition because of his stutter.

Karma got Christie an extended ICU stay from probably contracting COVID from Trump during those debate preps.

[–]Duckriders4r 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Oh no way is this that guy?

[–]Boredum_Allergy 9 points10 points  (2 children)

He also shut down parts of a bridge as a political stunt.

[–]patsully98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River, the busiest bridge in the world, because the mayor of a nearby town didn't pay him the proper obeisance.

[–]GonWithTheNen 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Yep! But do you also remember when he used a State Police helicopter (to the tune of $2,500 an hour) to see his son's baseball game?

When he initially refused to reimburse the state, his spokesman, Kevin Roberts said, "The governor does not reimburse for security and travel. The use of air travel has been extremely limited and appropriate."

Funnily enough, the day after ^that statement was made, Christie said he'd pay it back "only because the issue had become a distraction from the real problems facing New Jersey." 😒

[–]afternever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IRL Cartman

[–]Old_Emotion_1302 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trump projecting as usual.

[–]MGSV1989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would be devastating if Trump knew who Adonis was.

[–]Waffleman75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both are petty fat asses

[–]wyoflyboy68 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Chris Christie is making a lot of sense, but don’t let that fool you, this mother fucker is as dirty or dirtier than trump. He should have gone to prison for what he did when he was governor of New Jersey.

[–]dextter123456789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to see another Jersey guy telling what a Prick Christie is.

[–]Dio_Yuji 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trump can’t walk down a ramp without help or drink a glass of water with one hand.

[–]scarytruth1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything but discussing the issues.

[–]PoorFilmSchoolAlumn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And not a single conservative understood that reference.

[–]Call555JackChop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way conservatives fetishize Trump and photoshop his head onto jacked dudes is fuckin weird

[–]Mechagouki1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today r/inthenews: Lying POS insults lying POS, regular people struggle to care.

[–]Fickle_Goose_4451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fellow fat guy from Jersey, yeah, we just own it. When you own stuff like it loses a lot of its power to insult.

[–]tunghoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't like having Chris Christie as my governor for two terms, but I appreciated that he isn't a religious lunatic or beholden to them, and he isn't a racist. He's just an equal opportunity bully. Those aren't high bars, but in today's GOP, it makes him more moderate than 99% of them.

[–]ABenevolentDespot 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The appropriate response is "Maybe so, but at least I don't wear an adult diaper because I haven't taken fistfuls of Adderall speed for decades and can control my sphincter. Look at the size of his butt in that expensive boxy ugly suit; it's trying to cover up the diaper."

No one ever verbally punches Orange Jesus in the face. The first Republican with name recognition that does so in the debates will knock him out of the race. He will either not know how to deal with it, or else he'll lose it and physically attack the person right there on stage.

Win-win either way.

The Diapered Orange Shitstain is a pathetic bully, and needs to be treated as such.

[–]Queasy-Quality-244 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I want a Christie Vs. Trump debate that essentially just turns into a insult match. Both of them suck balls, but Christie’s got the New York/New Jersey in your face asshole razzle dazzle that can match trump for good fun

[–]Stalhound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Trump knew who Adonis was he would be very cross.

[–]Acrobatic-Rate4271 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Nothing says "I'm ready for the Oval Office" like trading insults like schoolchildren.

What they hell is wrong with people to think that something as serious as running out nation should be treated like a reality TV show?

[–]CarolinaMtnBiker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you seen some of the hearings the House of Representatives have been having lately?

[–]LadyGrimSleeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Christie can do one thing, he can be a meaner mean girl than Donald. It is his god given, New Jersey grown super power.

[–]Bernthewalldown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Christie can come off as super likeable if you didn’t know what a massive piece of shit he is.

[–]the_simurgh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he thinks he is.

[–]FartMart80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s not wrong

[–]Celestial8Mumps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These guys deserve each other.

[–]whistlepig4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His delusional supporters seem to think he is.

[–]mitchsn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump has the body type of the Michelin man. He is no one to be commenting on others peoples weight.

[–]Ok_Hall8459 2 points3 points  (3 children)

More popcorn please!

[–]buickmackane71360 2 points3 points  (2 children)

My phone won't let me post photos in replies but there's a new popcorn meme out from screen grabs of a Ukrainian fighter pilot who celebrated the recent infighting amongst the Russians with an entire trunk full of popcorn in aluminum foil trays decorated with the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Better than the old Michael Jackson "Thriller" meme!

[–]Ok_Hall8459 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I’m gonna be looking for it!😂

[–]DocCEN007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a MAGAt once claim that drumpf wasn't fat, it was just his bullet proof vest. I asked him what kind of vest goes around the hips.

[–]buickmackane71360 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Christie is auditioning for Attorney General in the next GOP presidency. All the Home Depot money won't get him past the New Hampshire primary and he's self-aware enough to play this kamikaze game anyway. Christie has absolutely nothing to lose because he was languishing as a commentator on sports talk radio and ABC News before this opportunity presented itself. Trump knows that Christie has the goods on him dating all the way back to when Jared Kushner had an axe to grind about Christie prosecuting his own father (hence the obsession with Hunter Biden to deflect from the skeletons in the Kushner closet). Trump's likely response will be to skip the debates because he will convince his base that all the other GOP challengers are irrelevant and not worthy of his time. Biden will likely do the same by ignoring RFK Junior and Marianne Williamson. But that won't keep Christie off the Sunday morning shows so the soundbites will keep on coming anyway. Should be an amusing summer.

[–]dextter123456789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, what ever happened to that Bald Headed Fuck from Home Depot.

[–]ThePopeofHell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I seriously can’t understand the people who seem to pin virility to trump. As if he doesn’t look like melted butter. He doesn’t even look like something anyone should want to look like. He is observably disgusting. You can almost smell the stale piss/sweat when looking at pictures of him.

[–]net487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally grown men acting like children.

[–]Dangerous_Effort3355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite quote about Trump recently came from an MSNBC clip from Lawrence O'Donnell, "Donald Trump, the single most overweight former president of our lifetimes, has decided to attack his former attorney general over...his weight." Man gives no fucks.

[–]Coffee_And_Bikes 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Christie is just another Republican asshole, but he's got some chops when it comes to smack-talking. I remember watching him bitchslap Marco Rubio in the debates a few years ago and it was glorious.

[–]burnerAccountDuh24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cruelty is their default emotion

[–]Tyndael87 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Fuck off.

This man could have done more to make that tryrant never touch the oval office.

Now. Like the others, decides to grow a spine.

[–]njm1314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't Trump morbidly obese?

[–]JacktheBoss_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck off Christie, you're basically Trump-lite (not light).

[–]SweatyTax4669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it when candidates stick to the issues that really hit home for Americans. Like which candidate has the bigger waistline.

[–]LurkLurkleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the fan art he is

[–]OtmShanks55 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If the debate happens and Trump drops a fat joke, Chris Christie should whip out a mirror and give it to Donald (crowd erupts with laughter)

[–]buickmackane71360 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Agreed but isn't there a rule against props? I vaguely remember some furor about Herschel Walker pulling out a badge during a debate.

[–]Macd7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fake one at that

[–]dzoefit 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hearing about the fat fuck from NJ again? Fuck that fat fuck into fuckingness. He gets no respect from me.

[–]NovelStyleCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember he did this same sorta crap between 2016 and 2020, he's a grifter and is appealing to centrists but the second he thinks Trump might hire him he'll go back to singing his praises and defending every evil choice.

[–]OraclePirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol such a Jersey way to rebuttal a slight. Love it

[–]gadget850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Who Mourns for Adonis?"

Not even Captain Kirk.

[–]cazber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so fat guy calling fat guy fat?

[–]ShihPoosRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump didn’t get the nickname “tiny” for his physique.

[–]Pathetian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd think making fun of fat people would be political suicide I the US. You are kind if alienating half the voters right away right?.

[–]AdBig5700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump thinks he looks like that Rambo picture of himself.

[–]OTIS-Lives-4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Republicans everywhere would be running to their dictionaries to look up what Adonis means, if they could read.

[–]The_Gristle 1 point2 points  (1 child)

As fucking bad as I hate to say this, Christie is the most likeable Republican in this race .

[–]Reasonable-HB678 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Better than the thirst trap/former addict Robert F Kennedy, Jr.

[–]TheMCM80 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Christie needs to get real, accept that he isn’t going to win, go full yolo and just say, live on TV…

“Trump is a fat orange slob. I’ve seen cheese-its that aren’t as orange as he is. Did he fall in a vat of cooking oil and eat his way out? He looks like an over cooked egg roll with duck sauce. He wakes up every morning and bends two sheets of lasagna around his head and calls it hair. When he gets behind a podium he leans forward like Michael Jackson to hide his humongous gut.”.

I want to see Christie just go so hard that even Trump struggles to top it.

Just go straight stand-up comic hard. Drop the mic and walk out.

[–]debbiesart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t get the lasagna thing out of head now. Very funny!

[–]Ruger338WSM 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Seeing either one naked would require years of therapy, those poor women. The living proof that money can buy love.

[–]Nabrok_Necropants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always amazed people are afraid to talk shit back to Trump when he's such a colossal pussy.

[–]Revolutionary-Fan235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump does have many pieces of art that depict him as an Adonis. Reality isn't a thing that matters to his adherents.

[–]nite0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Christie would get more airtime and make these types of comments, he could move the needle to get others on board to talk trash like Trump and make an impact. Trumps the bully and how do you stop a bully... stand up and make him look small.

[–]badhairdad1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call him Traitor Trump - and I will send your campaign $1000. Tell how 45 showed the Saudis the Iran attack plan and that’s why the Saudis had to kill Sheggogi

For years I’ve tried to distill the difference between cons and libs. I think I have it now: “conservatives invent problems and then take action to “solve” them. Liberals talk about real problems, but won’t or can’t do anything about them.” This fits that explanation.

I‘ve once seen an edit of Trump being bald with a beard. That looks so much better.

But honestly everything is better than the way he currently looks, I don’t get why he sticks with it at all…

[–]lewd3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahahahaha welllll

[–]makemycockcry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump went for the Johnny Bravo look, got the Johnny Tango look. Fug ugly inside and out. Big suit, Dolly hands. Prick.

[–]SeaworthinessOk4046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now this is a cage match I’d … umm, nevermind

[–]Margali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bwagahahaga, wonderful, not uncommon for the mango Mussolini to sound like a 5 year old in kindergarten - and less adult supervision.

I like Christie's response

[–]Jake_on_a_lake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love seeing "former" in front of all their titles :D

[–]Valcrye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we seriously to the point where presidential candidates are relying on fat insults? God what the hell is this timeline lmao

[–]roofratMI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One fat ass critiqued the other fat ass, priceless. Damn I hate these bitch ass politicians.

[–]ghosttrainhobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump thinks he looks like how Ben Garrison draws him.

[–]KermitMadMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump’s fan base aren’t going to understand the reference…

[–]cultsuperstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, he'll be eating eating out of Trump's hands once Trump wins the nomination.

[–]CandidEggplant5484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also Trump looks like he wears a diaper.

[–]Moon_Noodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aight, Chris, this made me laugh.

[–]thaneak96 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well these debates should be high brow discussions on the values of America

[–]EduardDelacroixII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see Christie and Frump roasting each other. Christie would eat Trump for breakfast and shit orange for a week.

[–]sugar_addict002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christie look healthier than Donny Two Scoops.

[–]NetDork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pot, kettle

[–]dgonzal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KFC 13 hidden spices flow directly through the veins of these two lardies

[–]ArthurFraynZard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry Christie but it’s way too late for you to try to grow a spine now. Way, way too late.

[–]golden_eternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny seeing Christie pretend he has a backbone, post Covid. He licked Don’s boots so thoroughly, I figured they must have had something on him.

[–]QuicksandGotMyShoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish he had said "oh he's allowed to say that. Only a fat guy is allowed to call another fat guy fat."

[–]JaceThePowerBottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chris Christie is such a caddy bitch and I love watching these ghouls fight.

[–]Aeon1508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A better come back would be to acknowledge his own proble and go on a weight loss journey showing that he's capable of taking disciplined action to correct a threat to his health and that he's humble enough to admit he has faults

[–]arjunusmaximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Have you even SEEN the number of women who want to have Trump's babies?" /s

[–]asked2manyquestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always felt that the best candidate against Trump would be someone that can dish it out as well as he does. Maybe even a comedian. Please Jon Stewart, run.

Can you imagine a debate where his opponent can parry all of his insults and sling them back even more brutally.

Trump is not a great thinker on his feet (or any other position) so someone that could just respond with zingers and leave him speechless would make him look like an impotent fool.

Like if Ted Cruz had responded to Trump’s accusations about his father with, “This is coming from a guy who was hated by his slumlord father.“

I’m rooting for Chris Christie because he’s also an east coaster who can dish it out.

I just want to see Trump ramble about something and someone say, “I could eat a can of alphabet soup and shit something more intelligent than that. Jesus, Donald, what was that? Really. Do we need to call in the medical personnel to check you for a stroke or something?”

Sure, you’ll probably tank your political career but it will expose him as the total buffoon that he is. That’s a real patriot.

Rather have a President I can Depend on then a President with Depends on.
