Model 3 Delivery: chat here instead of refreshing your app every 5 minutes

Why flair?

We ask that users have their user flair set properly when participating in this community. This helps the community to get a better idea about their Estimated Delivery Date as delivery dates vary wildly depending on location, configuration, and order date.

How to add my flair?

Common/Known Issues

My flair won't update, it just keeps the default text

The official Reddit app for Android has an issue where sometimes it allows a user to set their flair and other times it doesn't. This issue affects non-moderator accounts on Android and appears to work as expected on iOS.

If you are unable to set and have your flair persist, there are a few methods you can try.

  1. Use the automod command !set_flair flair text anywhere as a comment, replacing "flair text" with what you want your flair to be. If it worked, you'll get a confirmation comment by automod with the contents to which you set your flair text.
  2. Use a different Reddit app on your phone.
  3. Use the mobile site.
  4. Use the desktop site.

Flair format

The flair format is as follows:
Order Date, Trim, Exterior Color, Interior Color, Wheels, FSD, Location.
If your flair isn't in this order, the flair checker will fail and your flair will be considered invalid.

All text in the flair is case-insensitive, so it doesn't matter if you put Black or black or FSD or fsd or fSd, etc.

Pro Tip: If something isn't specified in the format, then it isn't valid.

Flair format follows:

Section Format Notes
Order Date NN/NN can be NN/N, N/NN, or N/N, not NN/NN/NN or NN/NN/NNNN
Trim (M3) SR+, RWD, LR, P, P3D Pick one, M3 is optional
Exterior Color White, MSM, Black, Blue, Red Pick one
Interior Color White, Black Pick one
Wheels ((18, 19, 20)") (Aero, Sport, [Ü]Uber, [Ü]Uberturbine)s Can be just the wheel type, Aero or size, 18", or size and type, 18" Aeros. Any option can be plural, 18" or 18"s, Uber or Ubers, etc. Double quote is optional. Supports umlauts as well, i.e. Über
FSD no FSD, FSD Pick one
Location any letters, white space, comma (,), period (.), or dash (-) Can be anything that follows the format rules, including left empty. Location is encouraged as that significantly affects delivery timelines, but is not required for privacy purposes.
Separator , / Have to use at least one of these to separate sections. Options being comma, space, and/or back slash

Flair Regex

For those who are familiar with regex (specifically Python-flavored), this might help you better understand the rules for flair.

The regex for flair is as follows:

(?P<order_date>\d+/\d+)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<trim>(?:M3)? ?(?:SR\+|RWD|LR|P|Performance|P3D))(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<exterior_color>White|MSM|Black|Blue|Red)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<interior_color>White|Black)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<wheels>(?:18[”"]?s? aeros?|18[”"]?s?|aeros?)|(?:19[”"]?s? sports?|19[”"]?s?|sports?)|(?:20[”"]?s? (?:[ÜüU](?:berturbine|ber)s?)|20[”"]?s?|(?:[ÜüU](?:berturbine|ber)s?)))(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<fsd>(?:(?:no)? ?)FSD)(?:[,/ ]+(?P<location>[\w\s,.-]*?$))

and in case that doesn't render well on your device, in-line code styled: (?P<order_date>\d+/\d+)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<trim>(?:M3)? ?(?:SR\+|RWD|LR|P|Performance|P3D))(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<exterior_color>White|MSM|Black|Blue|Red)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<interior_color>White|Black)(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<wheels>(?:18[”"]?s? aeros?|18[”"]?s?|aeros?)|(?:19[”"]?s? sports?|19[”"]?s?|sports?)|(?:20[”"]?s? (?:[ÜüU](?:berturbine|ber)s?)|20[”"]?s?|(?:[ÜüU](?:berturbine|ber)s?)))(?:[,/ ]+)(?P<fsd>(?:(?:no)? ?)FSD)(?:[,/ ]+(?P<location>[\w\s,.-]*?$))

About Community
With Tesla’s vague and fluctuating time windows, it’s stressful waiting for our cars. Here, users can share information regarding delivery and when they get their VINS in order to gauge when their own car will come in.

1.
Keep posts focused on delivery-oriented topics

Please keep all content here focused around delivery, estimated delivery dates, financing questions, delivery day, order change status, SA communication, and VINs. Our sister sub, r/TeslaModel3, is where you can go for everything else Model 3 related.

2.
No link posts

This is a discussion subreddit and there are few reasons to make a post solely with a link. If you'd like to submit a link, please do so with a text post and add some discussion around it. Photo submissions are still allowed in the same manner.

3.
No self-promotion

No referral links, no personal websites, no blogs written by you. Only acceptable self-promotion is if people ask about where you got or did something and you provide it. If you create alts to circumvent this, you will be banned.

4.
No policing others' purchase decisions

Don't deride people for their financial decisions. Everyone is at a different stage in life and you don't know their whole story. If they wanted financial advice, they would've gone to r/personalfinance.

5.
Keep It Civil

Don't use racial slurs, anti-LGBT+ language, or general toxic name-calling. This is a subreddit for tracking delivery of a car.
