Posts should be high quality news articles about innovations and changes in technology.
The title of a submission should not be substantially different from the title of the original article. Minor changes like capitalization/spelling fixes are fine, but do not inject your own opinion/analysis into the post title (post a comment, instead).
Requests for support and advice are outside the scope of r/tech and are more appropriate for r/techsupport and other subreddits.
If a story/article is already is already present on the front page of r/tech, do not post the same story again even if the source is different.
Articles with a heavy political focus (including but not necessarily limited to government legislation/regulation), while often very important, are outside the scope of r/tech.
Consider posting political content instead to r/politics, r/technology and other related subreddits.
Discriminatory language and slurs are not appropriate and will be removed.
Discussions can become heated when passionate people disagree, and this is fine, but focus on ideas and not individuals. Posts that contain clear personal attacks against other users in the subreddit will be removed. Repeated offenses will lead to a ban.
Posts that link to content which a reasonable person would consider NSFW (Not Safe For Work) should be marked as such.
