  • r/marvelstudios - What actor do you think has been criminally underused in the MCU? For me it's a tie-up between Mads Mikkelsen and Christopher Eccleston

So Prince Philip has just died and of course itโ€™s meme topic of the week which was expected, then I see this Instagram post:

post

[ID: a screenshot of a tumblr post, the text of which reads โ€œshout out to whatever lawyer has the job of holding christopher ecclestons phone away from him to prevent him being sued by the royal family for dropping a funnier prince philip died post than any of us on here can ever hope to makeโ€ the post has 11,881 notes]

And now Iโ€™m generally just curious what the heck is the connection here? Do Christopher Eccleston and Prince Philip have some long-standing feud that us non-Brits donโ€™t know about?

This is really just morbid curiosity as a fan of doctor who and spectator (and subject) of the monarchy.
