It was HBO's most watched episode ever, drawing in a reported 19.3 million viewers.ย?

Yet Game Of Thrones star,ย?Charles Dance, has admitted he was 'confused' by theย?season eight finale and watched 'as much as he could' during an interview on Friday's Good Morning Britain.ย?

Theย?Godzilla: King of the Monsters actor, 72, played villainย?Tywin Lannister in the HBO fantasy series until he was dramatically killed off in series four by his own son,ย?Tyrion Lannister, played byย?Peter Dinklage.ย?ย?

Talking about GoT's final, which has divided show watchers, he said: 'I was confused... I watched as much as I can, characters like Daenerys Targaryen [played by Emilia Clarke], our characters never met, apart from press junkets.

'I wanted to know what was happening to these people... then we come to the big last series... we got to the very end, I thought: "Hmm, OK..."ย?

'Arya Stark [played by Maisie Williams] is on a cruise somewhere, Jon Snow [Kit Harington] back up north, Tyrion he's with all people sat around table, "What are we going to do now, cup of tea?" Hmm I don't know...'

He also added that he wanted his on-screen son,ย?Tyrion, to be the winner of the Iron Throne, he said: 'Me, personally, yes!'
