US-defaultism is not about when a person is hateful towards people or things that come from a different nation, culture, ethnicity, etc.
In the same way, any comment containing racist or derogatory content will be removed.
When a person on a public platform with an international audience (Reddit, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) comunicates in a way that:
a. Assumes that the audience is only from USA, and will therefore understand common things from USA.
b. Does not specify that it is from USA, and assume people will understand it as such; using terms like "civil war" and "the video game crash of 1983" without specifying where it took place.
c. Assumes that if something is true for USA, it will therefore be true for the rest of the world. (They can still acknowledge the rest of the world, but just that they are like USA too).
d. Not specifying that it takes place in USA, and only at max specifying which US state it is in, possibly only using the 2-letter code. When only specifying the city without considering there might be a more popular outside USA.
e. Speaking in general terms for things about USA. E.g. using "the history of film" when only referring to US films, and "people from the 1980s" when referring to the US population.
f. Using terms only applicable to USA for the rest of the world; using terms like "the first amendment" when talking about free speech.
The core of US-defaultism is that people think what is true for USA is true for the rest of the world, with possible minor exceptions. Even a person who has lived their whole life in Spain can have this mentality.

Every posts that fall into the low-effort content category:
US state abbreviations,
Google search results defaulting to the US,
US-defaultism loops,
