Why is it Hillary could sit for 11 hours but all the GOP are scared to talk under oath?

[–][deleted] 67 points68 points  (2 children)

I’m not entirely sure, but I think it’s something about them being guilty as sin, and only perjury will come out of their mouths under oath.

But what do I know? I’m just some asshole on the internet.

[–]Sislar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sadly I think we are quickly approaching the time even perjury won’t show them down. For the moment the courts are mostly holding to the law. But you see the judge in the maralogo documents case and the SCOTUS and it’s starting to crumble.

[–]EroticFalconry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold your head up man, your not just any asshole on the internet, you’re Gary-Fuckin-OAK!

Democrats play by different rules and think that following rules and being nice will somehow convince people that they are better than Republicans. Unfortunately, we have witnessed that people need to see Republicans succeed at destroying part of the country before they realize Democrats are better than Republicans.

[–]Zombie4141 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Republicans can see with their own eyes the destruction and still believe the dems caused it. It’s been perpetually happening my whole life.

She didn't try to hide behind corrupt co-conspirators.

[–]Jaded_Barracuda_7415South Carolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love how they seem to think that they are protecting their constitutional rights…. When in fact it makes them look as guilty as sin.

But then there’s the whole do as I say not as I do routine as well

Let him fight the subpoena. Indict him for his involvement and have him arrested and his bail remanded because he’s shown his refusal to cooperate with the courts. That’ll get him to Georgia real quick.

[–]procrasturb8n 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Does that prevent him from voting in the Senate? If it does, sadly, it cannot be done.

[–]ManfredTheCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they could work something out with remote voting by zoom or something

[–]W_AndersonAmerica 27 points28 points  (3 children)

I don’t know why the Supreme Court is involved with this at all.

Ladybug broke GA law and should face GA prison time.

[–]NadirPointing 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Since Graham is saying that his actions are protected by the congressional speech and debate clause I would think that the supreme court is the exact court to rule on it. I hope they come to their senses and rule that what he was doing was not tied to his legislative responsibilities because it was extorting a state official. But its very reasonable for the high court to take it up. I don't want Florida dragging AOC into court cause she violated their new CRT law or something.

[–]W_AndersonAmerica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh….I see. Thanks for the good response. IANAL!!!

[–]LargeSackOfNuts I voted 7 points8 points  (1 child)

That’s strange why the person claiming the election was stolen won’t go into court and prove it under oath. Hmmmm

[–]Jaded_Barracuda_7415South Carolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think what he’s trying to do is remember which way the wind was blowing that day…

[–]Naive_Act_6913 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Lies flow like water. But getting the truth from a Republican is like getting blood from a stone.

[–]Guyincognito4269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if we hit hot hard repeatedly?

[–]grandadmiralstrifeAmerica 13 points14 points  (1 child)

In all honesty, I am glad Madam Graham got the Supreme Court involved. I want a decision on the matter for all future investigations and prosecutions that are going to involve members of Congress over the next few years

[–]Chi-Guy86 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I like the thought process, but with this kangaroo court, assuming a constitutionally sound decision will be made is risky

[–]Raokairo 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Every picture of Lindsey Graham looks like he just got finished with a session of auto-erotic-Asphyxiation.

[–]cruisin5268d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg. You’re 100% right.

I’ve never been able to describe his look and it’s always bothered me. Thank you for this, thank you for giving me some peace in my life.

[–]JMockJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But nothing to hide? It’s telling how much shit your in when you do everything you can to not be questioned.

[–]echoeco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"...doth protest too much, methinks"...guilty shithole

[–]AdTiny2166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why is this even a thing? why does he get special treatment while others are in prison for life for a bag of weed? screw him

[–]oldfrancis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"let" should be replaced with "compel"

[–]SpammingMoon 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Who else except old white men get to refuse to testify when ordered?

[–]NadirPointing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Old white republican congress women get to as well!

[–]TI_Pirate 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Anyone can fight a subpoena. Well see if Graham is successful.

[–]Superb-Welder3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly was not part of his legislative responsibilities and clearly should be held accountable- but we are watching an alternate universe….

[–]Jaded_Barracuda_7415South Carolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old white ladies…

[–]Practical_Gene_9383 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They are really afraid to let Lindsey go,, I’m sure they know how weak he is,, and could seriously expose them ll

[–]Superb-Welder3774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lindsey is a guy who looks out only for himself- I strongly suspect he will break if it looks like he is going to be in legal peril

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another GOP crook shitting his pants 💩

[–]Lost-Jello1482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weak chin sad little man. Afraid to own his shit. Just another loser. Destroying our country.

[–]BriggsColeAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have lots of bones in their closets. Mr Graham has ties to every male prostitute in Washington. Dems should be all over calling him out for doing all of that gay sinin.
