Turns out I should of called one, whoops. I've got a walnut for a brain. Every single one of ya'll better be angry as fuck about how these nurses are getting the shit end of the stick in their negotiations.

After midnight when the buses stop running the poverty class doesn't have a way to the ER without using an ambulance, cabs are big cash money. So I was trying to think of a way for a middle ground to exist and maybe it's the morphine but I can't see a way to make that kind of service work without it becoming overwhelmed as well.

The ambulance fee isn't a care to those on social services because the costs are paid so that's not a deterrent against frivolous use. Any entity that could exist as a in-between seems like it would be just as ripe if not more abused. I'm not saying it has to happen it's just a melon scratcher on how to have a bandaid solution at the very least.

Amnesty(?) rides from the cops? That seems like it's towing the line and would just end up blowing up. Two feet and heart beat works, sucks but it works, won't for all. Cab reimbursement wouldn't be the worst idea for people on ODSP/OW/CPP since social services end sup with the ambulance bill otherwise. That becomes a headache I guess of paperwork for proving legitimacy of the need for the ride. Then there's the other part if somebody kicks off in your cab that's going to be a real bummer.

Care bus doesn't run after 9 so that's out. A normal city bus on a long route that passes core necessities and runs 24/7 probably won't work as it will quickly become a rolling liability. The cost of the buses for the city to run as it is are already high.
