I literally just finished the book and logged on here to express how annoyed I am at the HUGE differences between it and the movie. Why? I understand certain things, like cutting the extra tasks to reach the gates for time purposes. But jfc it’s an entirely different story all the way through. I LOVE them both, but I would’ve liked to see a movie that’s as dark and desperate (by comparison to what we got) as the book.
